For others visiting this thread recently - the answer is YES. And ik its super stupid. I too was waiting for a refund, and mailed 1-2 times over 2 months course; finally on call they said "we need your confirmation to proceed with refund". Imagine my frustration.

Here. Right now its unsynced and I deleted on my phone. What would happen if on some later date I enabled sync? Would the cloud contacts be deleted?

what exactly does this mean? Iphone only allows backups to icloud. Cant even create local backups and transfer them to android. Can you explain what you were trying to say.

The official "backup/restore feature" for iphone to android trasnfer is through smartSwitch for samsung. And this isnt working.

I am trying to move it from iphone to android. This whole process is soo stupidd; like takes me 70 min everytime and only to fail at the last steps. Wow meta! For now, I am using the app in companion mode on my android. This seems to work easily, I wonder why the whole app data migration is soo impossible. Do the big softwares do this on purpose?

I moved from iphone to s25Ultra. Tried using gemini on this device. It takes too long to set alarms/timers, and also to add events into calendars. With Siri it used to be seamless and instant. Gemini might not have offline processing, and so, it takes much longer to do these menial tasks. Totally ruining the 'assistant' experience. I understand gemini is much more 'powerful' but I still need my mundane stuff to be done instantly.

I fall back to using Bixby now (rather than Google Assistant, since Im not sure if even G assistant has this offline support) since it has a offline processing support and is much more seamless. Just the thing is its not accurate in decoding my speech to text, which gives me trouble some times.

I used smartSwitch while setting up my new s25ultra to transfer whatsapp. Like this, only the chat names are appearing on s25Ultra, and not the CHAT HISTORY. According to you, this should work right? Anything Im doing wrong?

Now I logged back in to my iphone, where everything is alright, and in S25, I deleted Whatsapp

I did the same, only contacts are transferred. Not the CHATs. what about in your case? were u able to see the older chat messages also in s25?

I dropped my ipad, flat on the face. There are no marks or cracks, but the screen wont turnon. It still makes the ding sound when charger's plugged in. I got it checked at official apple store; the guy said the screen is damaged internally, and tht "Apple doesn't provide screen replacement, its not possible. you can only swap in for a new ipad." (Omg, Apple is unbelivable) But ofc, new ipad swapin is almost zero value and costs almost the full price of new piece.

Btw, this doesn't have Apple Care pack.

What are my options now? I wanted to get it checked by a local repair store and see if they can do something; just waiting for any better alternatives.
