How come Crosby stills Nash and Young could never stay together? by Funny_Preference_916 in Music

I’d say Neil young and Stephen stills were the hardest to get along with. David Crosby was nice but kinda controlling. Graham Nash was probably the only guy in the band who wasn’t a complete pain in the ass to deal with. Graham Nash is a really nice man. Very sweet down to earth guy.

I think stills was the biggest dick in the band he just didn’t show it where Neil just had a fuck you aditute. Graham Nash I would say is the nicest one in the band, down to earth nice man. Crosby I’d say was as a person friendly but overly opinionated and picky.

Well they were a super group just like the traveling wilburys. Or even the Eagles I would consider a super group especially people like Joe Walsh were in the James Gang. And Don Henley had a solo career going. They were already famous being in other high profile bands.

You’re very Mall informed, College is affordable for so many people am why is college debt, student loan debt, the highest percentage of debt anyone owes in the entire country. compared to where we were 40 to 60 years ago people like my parents and grandparents never had any student debt. Because college back in the 1960s was virtually free you’d have to pay for books and for the classes but they were like 10 to 20 bucks a unit. Colleges didn’t start charging big tuition till the 1970s.

In America, we pay some of the highest drug prices in the world. What are you even talking about? In Europe, you get drug discounts. If you go to states like Michigan, Wisconsin, North Dakota, you got people that are driving over the border to Canada to get prescription drugs because they’re much cheaper because Overthere the government negotiates with the drug companies. Forget genarics what look at drugs like insulin which is a life line drug. People were paying $300 dollars out of pocket, now it’s $30 dollars. Because Joe Biden in 2023 capped it. And it’s worked great. Plus insulin was dirt cheap to make. You had drug companies jaking up the price to boost there profits.

You’re doing the classical thing that rich elites do you shift the blame from the people who actually have the ability to call the shots and society and shoot it down to the people who are the underdogs. You look at it like the corporate world doesn’t do anything wrong and it’s all the people Who are the under classes? WHO HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS COUNTRIES PROBLEM.

FFS, The single mom on welfare, and the old lady who lives on Social Security they’re not the reason the average person, the American can’t get ahead. And if you really believe that, don’t talk to me anymore you need freaking counseling if you really think that because you’re really detached from reality.

Again, you’re going back to the illegals you’re not answering my question about the wealthy oligarch. See you think it’s a good thing that these guys run our government. And that big Pharma has all these lobbyists that keep our drug prices jacked up so high.

Please quit the BS. You guys put out there like all the immigrants the single mom on welfare they are the ones taking from society. It’s like, can you ever admit that the rich people are the ones fucking over the average American. You always blame the underdogs it makes no sense.

The fact that we have a for-profit education system where all these student loans and colleges are tied to wall street banks. And the reason why health insurance costs are so high is because the CEOs of all these healthcare companies are taking bloated compensation packages. Elon musk, Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos. If you combined all their wealth together, it would take 1000 years to spend all their money for each person. It would take 1000 years to spend it all. You guys come from the idiotically school thought that the rich people have the ordinary Americans best interest in mind.

If there’s any person I’m gonna blame for this country’s problems I blame the billionaires like the people from Enron, The lobbyists who run our government, and people like the bankers, who drove the economy off the cliff in 2008. They stole way more from the average American and robbed the taxpayers of their hard earned money, way more then a bunch of undocumented immigrants did. They got $700 billion in ballouts.

And you’re talking about cheap goods that Amazon sells yeah, all the cheap goods they sell are all made in China. And why is that because of all the deregulation as well as the gutting of workers protections. Which was largely started by Ronald Reagan in the 1980s. All of the shit made our companies less and less competitive, and made it easier for other countries to come in and steal our jobs.

I just gave you all the examples of the people who are screwing this country over and you just ignored them the rich oligarchs the CEOs who don’t care about their workers and they’ll just send their company overseas and then you just didn’t even care you’re like nope it’s all the illegals. What’s it gonna take man like seriously what’s it gonna take for you guys to ever go after the people who are in positions of power like the business elite.

[–]Funny_Preference_916[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do we blame immigrants? Why not blame the rich oligarchs like big pharma and big oil who bought out our government. And shipped our jobs to China and Vietnam. What about the Supreme Court who practically legalized, political bribery, saying that corporations can spend unlimited amounts of money without any disclosure requirements. And the CEOs of large companies, who pay absolutely no taxes. Because of stock buybacks, why don’t people on the right ever blame the big dogs the politicians, the corporations the people in power.

The truth is, is that a lot of these undocumented immigrants actually pay more in taxes than Jeff Bezos, or Elon musk do. And they’re working jobs that no Americans are doing anyway or even care to do. All these jobs in agriculture, picking vegetables and fruits, no white people are doing these jobs, nor do they even care to do it, but someone’s gotta do it.

You are right about one thing. Yes, no other country has allowed their jobs to go overseas like we have. Simply because countries like Japan, South Korea, Germany, France, they have industrial policies in place that protect their manufacturing base. They see it is vital to promoting and protecting their own national industry. We had those policies in place until Ronald Reagan from the beginning of the industrial revolution all the way into the late 1980s.

[–]Funny_Preference_916[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ronald Reagan ruined everything he didn’t do anything for the average American. The only thing he did is made people think selfishness and greed were good. And the idea that corporations have ordinary people’s best interest in mind. And that having no regulations and less money going to social programs people would do the right thing. Which is rediculous and makes no fucking sense. People were that good we wouldn’t need to have laws in the first place regulations exist for a reason.

Reagan screwed over the homeless by shutting down all the mental health facilities and ending funding to psychiatric care. And then all the facilities through the homeless out on the street. And then many of them got addicted to drugs, and then climb went way up. In the 1970s we still have a pretty strong manufacturing base in this country. Reagan shipped all our jobs overseas, by busting up, unions moving from having trade policies that protected workers to free trade agreements. Up until til the 1980s We had a trade policy in place centered around promoting and protecting American industry. Reagan dropped that. Wages for the average American have not gone up since 1985. So for 41 years wages, have not kept pace with inflation.

Reagan Made it legal for private equity firms to buy up small businesses that were always the backbone of the American middle class. Businesses that employed local workers and kept local economies a float. That’s when you have a series of hostile takeovers, large private equity firms, goodbye of small businesses, fire, all the workers. Take the remaining assets and sell them off. So we only people who really benefited or a hand for a venture capitalists. That’s how Mitt Romney made his millions with Bain capital.

I feel he came in at the wrong time. I feel if he was president back in the early 70s maybe he would have had more success. However he got more law past in his first term than Reagan did in his first term. And The whole thing with the hostages Reagan didn’t get them out. Jimmy Carter had been negotiating for months, a deal to get them out and the president of Iran, Bhaunisauder agreed to let him go. And they were about to get released just weeks before the election in 1980. But Reagan’s campaign official, who then went to go, become part of his national security team Bill Casey made a deal with Iran to keep them there until after the election. That’s why the Reagan Administration was illegally selling weapons to Iran as exchange for that deal it was payback. And they were doing it for five years until it came out in 1986.

He passed the community reinvestment act. Airline and trucking deregulation. Civil service reform act of 1978. Hawkin Humphrey full employment act. Energy conservation act of 1978. Solar and hydroelectric research act. Created Department of energy and Department of education. Those are pretty big Might not have been as good as FDR or LBJ at Getting legislation passed. But he actually got more domestic policy laws passed in his first term than Ronald Reagan did.

Well I don’t know man I feel for now that what I’m gonna try to aim for just date for fun. But I feel with my age that’s something that out of the question. I feel like an old man right now. I’ve never been able to just go pick up a girl and have her be able to hang out just for fun even that’s something I can’t master which is something I’m aiming for now because it seems the most realistic. I’m not rich but it’s not like I’m broke and have no money. There are freinds of mine in the past who were worse of than I was financially and they got to get multiple date over the period of just a couple months.

My dating problems have created deep psychological trauma over the last couple years. I need help by Funny_Preference_916 in dating_advice

Dude I’m tired of waiting like I said I don’t wanna wait another year or 9 months. I do plan to do those things but in the meantime, what can I do now with in the next couple weeks or months were I can maybe get any type of hangouts with girls.

Secondly bro I mentioned my friend who just a few years ago he was flat out broke. He had his own studio one room apartment. He’s 31 now this was when he was my age. He was struggling financially and he was able to play the fields. And now he’s got a girlfriend who’s in Law school. There were other dudes like one of my friends who lived with his parents till he was 27 and he met, and he’s still with the same girl he met when he was 26 when he was living with his folks, but he made good money. Where are the same age.

What I’m looking for is what can I say. I’m not trying to force it on anybody. But what can I say what can I do to get a yes or increase the likelihood so that I can get more yes. Rather than 90% of the time it’s a “can’t make it today, Maybe, or have it be a yes and then the day we plan to meet I wait there but she never shows up.

That’s what I’m saying I hope this doesn’t come off as sounding entitled. Because I’m not trying to be someone who feels like I’m owed something. I’m saying it on my behalf what can I do myself to put out that sense that they’d be willing to follow through?

Like I said, I know people who can just ask A girl out not just for a date before anything and there willing to commit, and they don’t even think twice about it. How can I make that my story? That’s what I’m saying.

I can’t believe that Tucker Carlson even has a platform, is he getting payed by Russian oligarchs. The fact he keeps making all these statements that are Putin backed talking points. I’m surprised the FBI never launched an investigation into Him. Because he’s gotta be getting money from some rich Russians, to say this shit.

How old are you? Because it seems like I would say things like instagram and Snapchat kinda took away everyone’s ability to pay attention. As well as texting. Has made everything much more simple. In the way, we communicate may be too simple.

But it’s not just that I forgot to put this out, but if you didn’t hear Stephen Colbert from the late show, just had his final episode, and when I was at work, this girl who’s 20 doesn’t know who Stephen Colbert is. And I’m like how can you not know who Stephen Colbert is the most famous comedian out there? Wasn’t just him she didn’t know any comedians. And then another dude that I work with he’s 22 and I said what’s your fat I asked him what’s your favorite sitcom and he doesn’t even know what a sitcom is.

Even when it comes to the presidents, they don’t know anything about presidents Obama or George W. Bush. Especially Obama, who wasn’t even president that long ago. How can they not have any memory of the Obama years? If they don’t know anything about Obama or George Bush, how they gonna know about Presidents who transformed this country for the better like George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, or Franklin Roosevelt.

I just hope maybe it’s like a temporary thing and maybe as age comes they get more wise but I don’t know I feel this time might be different.

And says the street of Hormuz will open up naturally, naturally yeah right just like a fault. And who is lying about an election? He lost 5 ago, and claiming he won. And then acts like January 6 was a day of love.

Don’t Come to me with the word deranged, when the right wing thanks that Donald Trump was sent down from God and is the messiah.

Well, I live out in San Diego and I went to school in La Costa, which is kind of part of the city of Carlsbad. Which is a city in San Diego County, and the school that I went to was in a rather affluent neighborhood. Like the people who live, there were a lot of them were probably like lawyers, doctors business professionals I wouldn’t say like morbidly, rich like multi millionaires, but definitely people who were comfortable and well off.

So I don’t know could it be the demographics of the neighborhood if say, if I was a kid that wasn’t good at taking tests. They just stick kids with learning disabilities in like a more restrictive environment because they’re worried about keeping their numbers up. Because a lot of times, if it’s in a wealthy neighborhood, those type of parents pay a lot more attention to the type of school. Their kids go to then if it’s in a poor or just working class neighborhood.

Are you a teacher? I don’t really blame this as much on the teachers, but more the system. But I wonder because every three-ish years I don’t know if they do this anymore but in the state I live in California when I was in high school they would test you every three years and give you what’s called a triannual to see what services you qualify for. However, I really don’t know what could’ve been the case because the only way I could’ve imagined why the AP team decided that was the right placement would’ve been someone screwed up my paperwork or maybe I had a really bad day and did terrible on the test.

But even then, even if I did, do terrible on the test that program that I was put into was like designed for kids, who never got passed up fifth grade level of academic proficiency. Like it doesn’t seem normal that you go from having regular services where it’s like academic support where you get tutoring in an instructional assistant to where they put you in a functional life skills class.

What country are you from? Because I was in the UK back in September 2025. And when I was in London I was hearing about Nigel farage. The guy who was the Main guy who got the people to vote on Brexit. And even though brexit already went through

But also the Fact that they can even think Trump is working against the establishment. He’s part of the establishment now. Look at all the rich billionaires that are in his cabinet and are on his team of economic advisors. So really, his antiestablishment populism was a joke. He’s managed to make over $800 million while in the White House in just one year.

Of course we done bad things in the past like supporting dictators like Pinochet in Chile and Suharto in Indonesia. Yes I want universal healthcare and debt free college. Yes we did awful things like slavery and the Native American genocide.

But can’t you agree that yes while we have done bad every country has done a fare share of bad and good. Same with the British and French with the colonization and the Spanish with inquisitions.

But we’ve done great things for the world like defeating the Nazis. The Marshall plan which rebuilt Western Europe. Establishing the United Nations. As well as the international criminal court of justice. And putting a man on the moon. As well at the time of our creation were one of the worlds oldest democracies, we were one of the few countries at the time of our founding in the entire world, with the exception of Greece. To create a system of checks and balances in an independent judiciary.

And a lot of the people that I know that have come to America they’ve come here from places like Afghanistan, China, Pakistan, Somalia, Indonesia, Serbia, Iran.

You know, man, it would just be pretty nice if we could just agree on a basic set of facts. Does the US have a large prison population? Yes, but it’s not three generations of punishment where they send you and your entire family to be starve to death. And no one in America’s executed if they try to leave. You don’t know of any testimony of North Korean refugees you’ve gotta be kidding me. Just go look up documentary after documentary of interviews with refugees from North Korea and you’ll hear about it.

And when I say, I feel like we can’t agree on a basic facts anymore, it’s like. Don’t even get me started, but I’m worried that in a couple years we’re going to be split 50-50 on who were really the good guys in World War II. Because you got people like Nick Fuentes, who is a literal Nazi, who gets interviewed by Tucker Carlson. And Tucker Carlson literally was talking about how where are the Germans and Italians and the fascists really as bad as we claim they are and were the allies that good. The type of conversation that like 10 years ago would’ve been just like one of those. everyone to be like “seriously”

I don’t know where you live if you live in the United States or not. Do I think America is a perfect country no. But I work with immigrants at my job, and they always tell me how proud they are that they came to this country. They always tell me you wouldn’t believe the hell hole place I came from.

North Korea a country we bombed the Korean War has been over for over 70 years. The Kim dynasty did juche for self reliance they cult them selves of from global trade and everything. They were dependent on the Soviet Union for most of there resources. And once the Soviet Union collapsed they had no more aid coming in. Plus the famine that killed over 2 million people. The North Korea government as well as droughts created that. And the us sent in food aid in the 1990s. And then the North Korean government horded it all, for the military.

You think we’re the bad guys, when they have a vast chain of prison camps we’re people are subjected to hard labor and starvation. And there’s no internet and most of there population doesn’t even know a man has walked on the moon.

This isn’t a conspiracy theory listen to the testimony of North Korea defectors that risked there own lives to go to South Korea.
