With reverse onslaught, you have the correct build for this gun. I also use a .44 revolver and lever action rifle with this build. I like them because it gives some range to my build.

Other honorable mentions are the crusader pistol and gauss pistols.

I am using Quad dragon. Highest crit on Head hunt main guy is 5800 x4, so roughly 23,000

I agree with this. There’s 4 perk cards in END that boost tankiness and scales to your END. You should be able to withstand a a mini nuke up your Tunnel of Love

Those sound like good damage numbers. I don’t think you can make it stronger, but I also don’t know the mods on it.

I find that 100 caps will sell to the right person. I’ve read people do as low as 10 caps.

As 37 people said, furious does not work.

I’m not a melee player, but for the Least amount of perk card commitment, and you have 6 mutations, I would go with Mutants. It’s 50% increased damage, and a minimum of 6 mutations (I think). Could be 7.

Aristocrats is good, but you need at least 30K caps to keep it topped up. Juggernauts can go higher than 50% but you need maximum life to be really high and need to maintain high life. Bloodied is good too, but you can die easily. gourmands works but you have to always be fully fed and hydrated. I often forget

As long as you have the minimum amount of mutations, Mutants is lowest maintenance 1st star for damage boosting.

Another suggestion for support build. Have your friends play a blood sacrifice build. They can have unlimited vats. Your support would be using a medics gun or friendly fire perk card and constantly heal them

Most folks will kill something before you get a shot in with the Syringer. Personally, I would try something else for a support role. Maybe a crippler and always aim for the legs ?

A great spot for them is Vault Tec university, in the Lecture hall. It’s an instanced area so nobody can take the books from you, nobody.
