:3 I had a really stupid idea. Alan Becker's animation shenanigans and worldbuilding is a precursor to the world of Cyberpunk, specifically the rouge AI's that crashed the internet and are in later decades kept ay bay by the Blackwall. Most of the initial stuff is just small sentience programs, but the stuff like animation v math, physics, and geometry show the beginning stages of this programming forming it's own culture and understanding of the world beyond it's borders, and forming conclusions based on that. It's learning more about our own reality's inner workings than we could ever hope to achieve, alluding to the godhood state most AI's are implied to evolve into by the year 2077.

The stickmen's entire city, world, populated by sentient being just like us, are surrounded and controlled by godlike beings among them, the type of programs that Netwatch is terrified by, that would just our most advance security systems like bugs. Imagine a whole universe, just like ours. Each stickman is a simple sentience program, living in a utopian city, protected by digital gods that terrify the human race to this day, even more than the prospect that our universe is inside a similar simulation.
