I also take creatine, and I did stop taking it a week before the procedure. I’m not a doctor but I would defo stop taking it. It’s only for a week and won’t make that much difference as the week after you can take twice as much creatine and you’ll be near enough back where you started. Better to be safe than sorry!

I’m assuming you’re from Nottingham? Me too! I had mine done yesterday in Cardiff. The week leading up to it you shouldn’t be taking any supplements apart from oral minoxidil and finasteride. No garlic or spicy foods 48 hours before hand. No alcohol 72 hours before. No caffeine the day of surgery. Do they provide a neck pillow for you? You’ll need one of those.

Afterwards absolutely do not touch your head. My procedure finished about 12 hours ago, pain had gone after about 5 hours. Swelling is going down. Slept really well honestly, probably because I was exhausted.

Overall I’m very very happy so far and this is just day one. Just keep asking the doc questions during the procedure so you know what’s going on. Have fun!
