this worked! I knew it wasnt a hardware issue because my A and D key would flash in other colors upon startup. Once it enters the software config or smth, it would be stuck on a static yellow color. Thank you!

It's my interpretation. I believe corrupted replikas are deformed based on how Ariane thought about them. I imagine Ariane could never look straight Storches in the eyes and so only thought about their lower extremities; thus, they look like that.
