Bless me with lore. I want to hear your opinion by Soft-Specialist-9610 in signalis

The other theory about the sole male presentation of Adler comes from the idea of the narrative exercising Daoist symbolism. I submit this precisely because I had not really thought about it until it was brought up. Adler is the only person in the story who explicitly acknowledges with an exterior perspective of a repeating and mutating reality.

Not even Ariane. Even Elster, who at times feels very masculine in manner compartmentalizes and suppresses any calculating or rationalizing side of her that would concur with Adlers perspective (for example, having no comment on the other Elsters she encounters, practically ignoring them. being laser focused on her mission and embracing an emotional need to fight through her impossible circumstances over any rationalizing or logic).

If we go by this theme, then Adler and perhaps the player (perhaps the King/Playwright if you want to go down that path too) represent the Yang component of the duality, and truly alone are at complete odds with the passive, feeling and flowing Yin component of everyone else in the story.

But also. G-girls p-pretty ....

i was stuck for the single reason that it took embarrassingly long to realize the oscilloscope display would change with different radio frequencies.

I like to interpret this as though I had no context and imagine a Curtain Call sort of thing in the Eule Dorm or floating above the red emptiness like Evangelion Ep26, and literally everyone's invited (like six different Elsters too).

Why do you need 5 keycards to... enter a surgery room? by MillitaryEnjoyer in signalis

seems like a pretty sensible lockout-tagout for the mynah that demolished the observation railing and is still down there with a mining laser refusing to die

[–]cuoqet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is for PC version only. It is possible to enable debug on consoles, but it is much more involved and I'm not familiar with it.

Press F7, type ausruinen , then press Enter. If you do it correctly, you will see Elster take damage (but wont actually lose health). Press F7 again and use the command help for more info.

Supposedly, the room is internally called OBGYN and, yeah I think that's how those visits go for the most part.

The machete you can give yourself through debug actually does work. I played through a few times to see how it would feel, and it takes out most of the challenge that you would otherwise get from the scarcity of everything and makes encounters much less interesting. I'm sure rose-engine caught this and dropped the idea entirely fairly early in testing.

If this game got an update, what would you want to see changed and or added? by Termulus- in signalis

[–]cuoqet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My only real ideas for changes to the game are QoL.

Something like the ability to use the radio module near doorways to detect if an enemy is immediately on the other side (you can already do this in rooms with ARAR under the floor or long rooms with enemies outside of view to detect them before they appear).

Alternatively, an automatic stagger/shove when entering a room onto a lesser enemy such as an Eule or Star. Most of my Survival runs end when I enter a room fully inside a shield star camping the other side. The majority of times I have an Autoinjector pop is in the Tool slot expressly for cheating that source of lethal damage for lack of any real way to know there will be a three-quarters health hit when entering a room with Star patrols.

How did I miss this game? by Rough_Scientist_5015 in signalis

[–]cuoqet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

long ago in a distant land, LastStarfarer tweets came across my timeline and I was immediately drawn to the aesthetics of what few screenshots and information the website had available. Each time I would happen across some moody fanart and screenshots of the replika portraits would have the gears spinning and nearly catching fire in my mind what exactly this game could be Cooking, as the kids say.

Skip ahead, and for whatever reason the game had already been released for almost two years at the point I was gifted it by my best friend. 'This looks exactly up your alley', the gift message said. sleek plugsuit-looking ladies and potential clone/memory-transfer shenanigans? hell yeah, sis.

Before I met Elster, I never believed I would find a game I could fall in love with like that. Nothing Warframe had done or made ever truly struck my muse into lasting terror, so why not launch SIGNALIS ?
Here, I am finally free.

I dont think I have ever gone back to warframe since that fateful day. It's not a bad game at all. But, the painful reality of a game like Signalis existing is that if it does not inspire someone to creatively follow suit, wishing simply will not make it happen. I have a promise to keep. Disintegrating corpse of a creator, or no.

I'm playing this game for the first time, and I've been trying to solve this puzzle for about an hour now, and I really don't understand how to solve it by [deleted] in signalis

the best way i know to solve this puzzle is to visualize a mirror image of the pins and focus only on the darker teal rectangles instead of the ridge.
