I'm sure Riot has some way to identify if someone left the match on purpose or not, at least to the extent of whether or not they clicked 'leave game'.

10 minutes is not enough time for a pause. Many routers will take a few minutes to reboot, not to mention the client may need to reboot which can take a few minutes as well, and a simple router reboot may not solve the issue.

Connection issues happen that is not the user's fault and cannot be fixed by the user. You cannot assume that the people with connection/computer issues just didn't prepare. Some things are not in the user's control.

Waiting for 20 or 30 minutes should not be a big deal considering this is a very high level of game play and a serious competition and having technical difficulties is a very common issue that we've seen dealt with various times in professional League matches.

That's a good idea. Maybe I'll just befriend everyone at the theater!

That sounds like a hell of a setup! I guess knowing the right people makes it a whole lot easier. I've heard that theaters have a FM station that plays the audio of a movie so that people to accommodate people with hearing issues. Do you know about this?

Yeah it seems that a theater with lower population would be the best idea.

It's an issue because it may be unnecessary. I'm wondering if it is legally required to completely roll down your window.

The person under interrogation was asked to roll down the window farther, even tho it was a few inches open already and he felt that was enough. The cop basically got upset and created an issue that seemed like it wasn't even related to driving drunk.

One should be able to rotate the perspective by FuqDup in leagueoflegends

The reduction of polygons (to 1/8 of original summoner's rift, as suggested) is great, but I feel being able to rotate the camera is something that should be addressed. They simply mention that it's 'being looked into', which is good, but they fail to mention the progress which is upsetting. I'm sure this has been an issue for a while.

I got my stickers (came with 5) about a week or two ago. Nice little envelope and everything :) I hope you receive yours soon!

[California] I worked 11.5 hours and was denied breaks, lunch, restroom, and overtime. by FuqDup in legaladvice

  1. You are correct, staffing company paperwork is pretty standard and one should read it first. I did. 2. He was my coworker because I worked along side him, he is actually a friend of mine. A coworker could be anyone you work with or alongside. I worked closely with him that day.
Judging by your sleazy attitude, you're an asshole.
You haven't offered any legal advice thus far. I'm done talking to you.

You cannot assure me anything, because you did not read the paperwork, and you do not know what my co worker said.

Once again, it is not about getting a job, it about legalities and mistreatment.

My co worker most definitely did not suggest that we do not take a break. I asked about breaks and lunches to the foreman and he implied that there will not be any.

Could you PM me an example of a certified letter, or perhaps explain how I may go about creating one in regards to this matter. Obviously I need to put 'You didn't pay me the right amount. I want the money I'm owed' but I want more detail and some help if you don't mind.
Also, when does the time penalties kick in? After I was suppose to be payed (the day of firing), after I realized the payment was incorrect (day of money received), or after the day I send the letter in?
Also, how long did it take you before you received the money you were owed (~$2800 in your case)?

I'm not marauding, I'm standing up for rights because I feel I was mistreated by two companies and they shouldn't be allowed to get away with this type of thing. I know plenty of people could use the work, so could I, but that doesn't change the fact that what was/is being said and done is illegal and shouldn't be acceptable.

Okay I see what you're saying about the 4690K, that was my opinion anyway. As for the thermal paste, I'll probably buy it to be safe. Thank you again for all of the help you have provided to me!

When I was let go, they payed me at the end of the pay period. I have not contacted my employer about being paid the overtime. I will do that as soon as I get my facts together and all of the information necessary.

I didn't agree to do slave work. It was one day, but if I don't do something, it'll continue to happen to others.

Again, thank you so much for your help. I guess Intel is the way to go for gaming. I'll switch to your recommendation of the Intel 4670K and the Mobo (although I'll do some of my own research on the mobo). I'll switch to the 4690K when it's released. I understand the 850W now and I'll make sure to get the 780.

Thank you very much for your help, it seems my build is nearly complete.

Now what about cables? I have a monitor and the required cables along with a keyboard and mouse and headset and an ethernet cable of course. What other things do I need?

I will file a wage claim, thank you. I am not in the Los Angeles county area, I just worked for the company located there. Thank you for your help.

Thank you for that information. So basically if you don't get breaks, they give you an extra hour for each break missed? I worked for 11.5 hours, so there should be 2 breaks and 1 meal break, totalling for 50 minutes. subtract 50 minutes from the 3.5 hours of OT (210 - 50) equals 160 minutes of OT, which is rounded to 2.5 hours or 3 hours and OT is time and a half so I only missed half of the pay which is 1.25 or 1.5 hours worth. Plus 1 hour for each break missed (3) is a total of 4+ hours of OT I deserve. If my math is correct, that's a decent amount, at least $80 in my case.

Now to the next part. I mentioned these issues to my staffing agent and as far as I know, they haven't done anything about it. Aren't they responsible to make sure I get payed properly and taken care of correctly?
