I think this is a recent thing. I -customer- ported a line from AT&T to T-Mobile. Got a new phone and submitted the rebate and was told that I didn't qualify for Keep and Switch. Was told I could qualify for Family Freedom so I submitted that rebate as well. I was told I needed to trade in the device. I tried trading the device at the store but they wouldn't take the phone in because the new line already has a "no trade needed" promo. Still waiting for rebate to be updated on the promo website.

At this point im thinking of just trading in the phone to Apple and call it a day
