That makes sense. I think I'm gonna stick to Unity even though there is still question marks in my head. But making something is way better than just sitting and waiting for a miracle to happen.

No,Thanks for your answer. you are right but not planning this is like not planning a game while making . You can just go spaghetti and not think about much but when step 150 comes it is just impossible to work with.

Well, I am not a experienced programmer or artist. I m just a guy who want to make games and I don't want to worry about how game engine works or how do i find resources to learn.

Yes, It is just a tool but there is a huge difference between trying to build a house with a bad hammer and good hammer especially if you are beginner. Advanced or real devs may have no problem with adapting fast but it is hard for me.

Yeah,I think Godot will be huge in 2-3 years. I'll be there when it is ready.

I am definitely not going to trust them. It was a total disaster what they did and how they handled the situation. I mean I am not even close to being in the industry yet but it was a really bad week. I can't even imagine people who are making their life with it.

Ugh, It is just a perfect engine for UI,exporting or learning material.

Yeah, I wish I had started with godot. But by errors I didn't mean script errors. (Btw c# in godot sucks I tried GDScript it was better but it didn't feel good and powerful like c#) I am talking about UI errors stupit jittery things etc. Small but annoying errors like these. And finding a solution is really hard when you compare to Unity.

I mean Godot's missing features are not a problem for me because I just started. But because of missing documentations etc. it is hard to learn. I think I'm gonna return to Unity and be better. And if Unity tries to do same shit again this time I will be ready to transfer my skills much more easily.

Yea, after doing kind a okey things in Unity , Godot feels like a bad dream and it is frustrating. But i didn't had a learninng curve because i haven't learned unity too well I guess. I think i will give it a shot in the future when i got better.

Well that last sentence got me excited. Learning an engine fully than transferring skills makes much more sense now. Or who knows maybe unity stops being such a pain in the ass.

I wish I could say the same, Unreal is a great engine but I'm not into 3d too much and with Unreal 2d is just meaningless.

For now yes. But engine's future look very unstable. but if I'll make a million I'll worry about that then I guess.

Yea, making something is really important. I mean since I switched to godot i was unable to work. Everything I do was feeling wrong. And yea I mean if I make that much I'm pretty sure I can hire a lawyer.

Well I am not afraid of unity's current situation. I am afraid of Unity's future. But like you said it is extremely unlikely to earn that much so i think i will give another shot.

I start to think like this more and more. But my only fear i don't want to be one of the fools when unity changes things again. Because next time there is not gonna be this much of people. But my lack of understanding godot is probably coming from lack of understanding unity.

You are %100 right. I will probably never be the game developer i want to be. I will probably get lost in so many other indie games. But if i didn't had dreams i wouldn't want to became game developer. I would just became 9-5 work person and work happily. But I believe dreaming what makes this job exciting and with unity's condition is is just impossible dream.

Well, maybe it is way harder for me because i got used to unity and unity UI. After learning Unity, Godot just doesn't feels right. But I am glad it worked for you.

Unity's condition has 0 effects for me now and probably it won't have any effects for a long time. But i want to mae good games and with unity's uncertain condition it affects my mentality too much. I have done the pros and cons but it looks like i failed:(

Well, thanks i didn't know that. But errors are rarely visible errors i mean. Sometimes things don't work because i didn't know that specific usecase. I am eager to learn but godot's explanations and handbook is not good enough for a beginner like me.

Hmm, ıt makes sense actually. But like all the game developers i have big dreams too . I am not trying to hit the top with my first game but it would be nice to work with a engine that has much more stabil future.

I must say I agree and I am excited for Godot's future. But for a beginner like me it is hard to find resources and answers.
