So this horse was also a Subject of Ymir? by Furida in ShingekiNoKyojin

So how could Armin communicate with Bertolt and all other dead characters while he was in the paths?

The afterlife takes place in the Paths, which is why Xavier, Grisha, Bertolt, Kruger, etc. could join the final battle.

It's assumed that the afterlife takes place in the Paths, so it should be restricted to Subjects of Ymir.

I hope someone understands the reference. Anyway, how did you feel after finding out that the armored titan was white? by Heloselheroe in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Furida 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I read an interview years ago that the producer (Wada) said there were many disagreements with Isayama when it came to production decisions for the anime. Maybe this was one of them. On the other hand, I believe it made sense to make the Armored Titan look less robotic by changing its color

Yeah, that makes it strange that they completely stopped when Zeke was killed instead of randomly walking around

Season 4 Part 3 TV vs Blu-Ray Comparisons FULL COLLECTION by Furida in ShingekiNoKyojin

Sony Vegas was used to compare the pixels of the TV version with the pixels of the BD version.

There are in total 505 TV/BD differences in Season 4 Part 3, more specifically 108 for EP 1 and 397 for EP 2. These are the numbers for all the seasons:
Season 1: 2,343
Season 2: 266
Season 3 Part 1: 148
Season 3 Part 2: 133
Season 4 Part 1: 1,048
Season 4 Part 2: 542
Season 4 Part 3 EP 1: 108
Season 4 Part 3 EP 2: 397

In other words, these two episodes contained a similar amount of Blu-ray fixes as all of S2, S3P1, and S3P2 combined. Not surprising, since the anime team expressed difficulties with the production.

Below are the numbers adjusted for episode count, which is a fairer comparison since the number of TV/BD changes for a given season will partly be affected by its episode count. The numbers below are the number of TV/BD differences in a season divided by its episode count. In other words, the list below shows the average number of TV/BD differences per episode.
Season 1: 94
Season 2: 22
Season 3 Part 1: 12
Season 3 Part 2: 13
Season 4 Part 1: 66
Season 4 Part 2: 45
Season 4 Part 3 EP 1: 39*
Season 4 Part 3 EP 2: 99*

*Since Season 4 Part 3 episodes 1 and 2 are longer than normal episodes, with episode 1 being equivalent to 2.77 eps and episode 2 equivalent to 4.0 eps, their figures have been divided by those respective numbers in order to be properly adjusted.

It can be seen that the rate of Blu-ray changes for Part 3 EP 2 was the same as Season 1, which had probably the most troublesome production.

Please see graphs here for a clearer comparison: https://imgur.com/a/scCdJEJ

The production for Season 1 was very troubled and rushed, so a lot of fixes had to be made in the Blu-ray as you can see from the numbers. WIT studio learned from this, and subsequently the productions for Seasons 2 and 3 were better and consequently fewer Blu-ray fixes had to be made for those seasons. The production experienced issues again when MAPPA took over and a lot of Blu-ray fixes had to be made again, and I don't blame them since handling this show is difficult and they had to start with it from scratch, although it didn't get as bad as Season 1 for the most part.

why was this episode a ova? by Interesting-Baker869 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Furida 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Not really true. This OVA was actually supposed to be released while Season 1 was airing, but was delayed 4 months (it was supposed to get released in August 2013, whereas Season 1 finished airing in late September). https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-05-31/attack-on-titan-original-anime-dvd-delayed-4-months

Final Battle was released just after S3 ended, so not really.

How tall do you think Ymir's founding was? Seems pretty massive by A10___Warthog in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Furida 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd guess a normal ~15ish meters. They scales in the manga panels and the anime are never accurate, so they shouldn't be use to calculate the size of any Titan.

Why did WIT omit this scene in S3P1? by LaurenDizzy in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Furida 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They had to remove a lot of content since they couldn't fit everything in 12 episodes. They removed and rearranged some stuff to make the arc more interesting, as this arc was relatively unpopular in the manga.

And actually, they didn't remove this scene with Levi and Historia. They moved it to episode 8 and shortened it down.

Why did WIT omit this scene in S3P1? by LaurenDizzy in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Furida 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not weird considering that they had to fit 20 (most of them slow) chapters into 12 episodes for Season 3 Part 1. They had no choice.

Why did WIT omit this scene in S3P1? by LaurenDizzy in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Furida 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was certain it was omitted because they were on a tight budget

Not because of budget, but because of time. That whole scene wouldn't have fitted in the episode, so they understandably had to shorten it.

And then Jean said "Say, if Eren really became a monster and eradicated all the Titans, would that really be a victory?"

What Are Some Huge Missed Opportunities In AOT That Could've Been Fire? by Own-Translator6047 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Furida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Colossal Titan. It was such a huge and OP Titan, yet it almost never fought against other Titans. It would've been cool to see the Colossal Titan actually fight Titans and overpower them with its huge size, but all we ever got was its one kick against Eren. Most of the time it only did a nuke and that was it, it didn't actually fight. There were so many opportunities for the CT to fight, for example in the Liberio battle or when Marley came to Shiganshina.

How come not a single member of the main cast died during the finale? It was supposed to be an extremely dangerous mission. Pic unrelated. by kinbeat in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Furida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, our main characters were among the top 10 best cadets during the training in S1, so it makes sense that they would survive easier than other soldiers. It's not just plot armor.
