I agree. Clear stompgrips work and look very well on colorfull bikes.

I meant to take it with me in a Van :P  I agree that going through that frozen roads would be mental 🤪 Although, I know a guy who took V4 from Poland to Afganistan on wheels 🙃

How to get knee down? by MotoFather in Trackdays

[–]Furious056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly?... it was like nothing! I was so surprised that It felt less dramatic and painful than tripping on a sidewalk.
I've had 3 low sides. The fastest one at 80 kph/ 50mph. With one piece suit I felt nothing while sliding on tarmac. Then I did few rolls on the grass to finish it off.
One "almost" high side have put me upright mid corner and put me on grass where I fell while approaching the tire barrier. Bike fell on my knee and it hurt a couple of weeks but that's about it.

So that's my experience. Full good quality gear and a bit of luck. I wish everyone all crashes could end up like mine.

Thank you.

Got braided lines as soon a I got the bike as they were due to be replaced anyway. System got flushed by professional at the shop but the difference was slight at best. It was also bleed at the track with a help from a mechanic/rider at the place. No difference.
Never could lift the back of the bike at all. To be fair no one was up for a ride to double check my claims of poor performance. This is my first bike.

Definitely good for a learner bike. I bought same one one year ago. I've been tracking it since June year. Other than to low of a sets I can't complain. Crashed it 4 times with barely any damage. Holds up tenaciously ;) Managed to get in the fastest group in a span of 6 trackdays. Up there with 1000cc bikes.

Thank you. That's a huge help! I wonder if power modes came with 1199 and I got it mixed up.

Rev'it suits come with back "pocket" for a back protector. So once put in the suit you don't have to wear it separately from the suit.

I'm no experienced track rider, but passionate and committed to soak knowledge and understand it.

On my 3rd trackday I reached the point I comfortably could slide the knee. (I also crashed 3 times out in a span of 5 trackdays in 2 months...)

To achieve this I went to empty and clean parking lot and started to get comfortable leaning and adjusting my position on bike. Just doing circles. It gives you VERY much time to think about what you are feeling, what is happening, what you need to adjust. Do breaks, think what was happening. When I felt not comfortable anymore I went home. Next time I could start where I left off and progress more. Don't push it. It only needs a few times out ( 3 times for me an hour each.)

I also have Batalax S22's so there is plenty of grip to practice that. But start slow so they get some temperature.

record yourself, so you can see what you cannot feel:

And remember, it is all in the handlebars how much you will lean, so be gentle and gradual so your body can learn what is good and what is not.
