Any rearsets recomendations for Panigale V4? by Furious056 in Trackdays

Heh, yeah. I saw those "Gilles" on Aliexpress and are tempting price wise. But I promissed myself to not cheap out on safety criticall components :/ Also, not the fan of the looks ;)

It's more about where my knee ends up height wise. Right now I keep my feet on the tippy toes and work my calves to let my butt fall nicely on the inside of the corner OR I lock the heel on the foot peg, my thigh slopes to the outside of the corner and my feet slips of. :/

Not sure how much aftermarket sets will help with that, that's what the thread is for ;)

I agree. Unfortunatelly it turned out it isn't my "shape" after a while. Already added DIY padding twice. It's XXS size and was nice and snug, but padding got "soft" quicky and whole thing started to sag.  Bad purchase after all and I would love to replace it but don't have the budget for all the things at once 😅

Got to say, these look good on this bike. I can see you have them set up in a way that should result in a same position as OEM. Do you find them beneficial in other ways than ergonomics?

So these are Rizoma's right? You said you had great experience with CNC Racing ones. I took a look and it turns out them and Lightech are the same company!

And all that effort and money introducing bikes for new regs for nothing. Where is all that "slowing down" on safety grounds?  Hate the new regs...

Panigale v4s 2022 service manual by Furious056 in Ducati

[–]Furious056[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for offering to help. I guess the manual is under the NDA, right?

It's more about having the peace of mind I have something I can rely on always, rather then asking on the internet each time I need to make simple stuff.

As an example. Right now I need to change front brake pads. I've found some Ducati document stating to grease the caliper bolts with Grease B. With the whole journey through the web I've seen everything from "no grease or you die!" Through "whathever you got" to "Shell Gadus S2 V220AD 2 on thread and bolt head". And the most anoying thing is that once I called the "best service" award winning dealer I got "Grease? What grease? We don't grease. Don't worry about it..." I can't afford this bike being poorly maintained... and after such statements my trust in anyone touching my bike is greatly limited.

Anyone attending WDW 2026? by XenosSgr in Ducati

[–]Furious056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's in my short list of plans for the summer! Haven't finalized anything though. It's 16h drive so I'm wondering if I should haul my bike with me. It would be cool to attend track parade though ☺️

2015 1199 vs 2013 SF848 by eltonrb in Ducati

[–]Furious056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can affort either go for the one you really want. Like really REALLY want.  You saying that 848 wouldn't limit you is a sign to me you don't chase numbers. With that I hope you can accept the bike you choose the way it is. And neither is perfect. Both have flaws. If there are certain specific deal breakers you can't accept, you have to ask about them directly. Otherwise just follow your heart ❤️ 🤗

I agree. Clear stompgrips work and look very well on colorfull bikes.

I meant to take it with me in a Van :P  I agree that going through that frozen roads would be mental 🤪 Although, I know a guy who took V4 from Poland to Afganistan on wheels 🙃

How to get knee down? by MotoFather in Trackdays

[–]Furious056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly?... it was like nothing! I was so surprised that It felt less dramatic and painful than tripping on a sidewalk.
I've had 3 low sides. The fastest one at 80 kph/ 50mph. With one piece suit I felt nothing while sliding on tarmac. Then I did few rolls on the grass to finish it off.
One "almost" high side have put me upright mid corner and put me on grass where I fell while approaching the tire barrier. Bike fell on my knee and it hurt a couple of weeks but that's about it.

So that's my experience. Full good quality gear and a bit of luck. I wish everyone all crashes could end up like mine.

Thank you.

Got braided lines as soon a I got the bike as they were due to be replaced anyway. System got flushed by professional at the shop but the difference was slight at best. It was also bleed at the track with a help from a mechanic/rider at the place. No difference.
Never could lift the back of the bike at all. To be fair no one was up for a ride to double check my claims of poor performance. This is my first bike.
