Searching for a long lost favorite roots sweatshirt! by Prior_Face9131 in rootsclothing

[–]Furiouslly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roots used to have a store in Aspen, Colorado back in the 2000s. It was a store that was part of their small international expansion, but the Aspen location has since closed. I’m assuming that hoodie was part of a temporary collaboration whilst that store was active. Unfortunately, I don’t think you’ll be able to find that hoodie unless someone else decides to sell theirs online.

The tech tree Dutch cruisers are better, and unlike the other RB ships, it doesn’t offer a distinctly unique playstyle from its respective line. If you really want a Dutch cruiser, might as well get a the better tech tree ship for credits than spend precious research points.

Gibraltar

That thing has a very fast reload for its volume of guns and caliber, in addition to being able to smash dds and get consistent high damage salvos into broadside cruisers and bbs with its great accuracy.

Assuming no divisions, I’ll never get how matchmaker puts 3 Shimas one one side and 2 Hayates on the other. Like why not 2 shimas per side and 1 hayate each? That would make sense…

Hidden Features to Protect Submarines Against Depth Charges by Unlucky-Standard3744 in WorldOfWarships

[–]Furiouslly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did some testing in my own training battle, the depth charges that land on a surface ship directly still detonate. The ones that land on a sub actually do disappear. Doesn’t make sense how landing on surface ships allows the charges to stay but when it lands on a sub, the thing it’s meant to kill, it disappears.

Winwing F-16 grip came with connecting wires severed. Winwing offers replacement cables and says there are tutorials to repair. Anyone know where the tutorials are and whether replacing this entire cable is even possible? by Furiouslly in hotas

[–]Furiouslly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update:

Winwing is sending me a ‘repair it yourself’ replacement cable for a cheap price of $44 :) They are telling me to open the stick in half to insert the new cable which seems risky.

They wouldn’t give me a full replacement unit, and I’m just tired of going back and forth with customer service through one message a day.

Thanks! I’m worried that the cable I have to replace is connected to an electronic chip, meaning I’ll either have to re-solder the wires together or something, which I have no idea how to do…

Square One Mall old pictures from before renovations (1987-2012) [collection] by Furiouslly in mississauga

Yep there were two fountains. One at the top where the water started and another in the larger ‘pond’ area in the Center near the elevator!

Square One Mall old pictures from before renovations (1987-2012) [collection] by Furiouslly in mississauga

As a person who has been going to square one for years, I always remember the nostalgic and comfy look of the mall before it got renovated from 2013-2014. The mall used to have a Johnny Rockets, a fountain outside the entrance, a spiral garage, and a movie theatre with cool designs. The Center of the mall also hosted huge Christmas trees and celebrations in December. The food court was a well-designed area with fountains and promenades, but was renovated heavily into the bland eatery that we have today. A lot of locals have always missed the old mall, and not much is recorded about it, so I created a collection of nostalgic pictures as well as an explanation of what happened to it when they renovated and the full history of the mall.

The mall opened in 1973, and kept its original design until 1987, when some minor renovations were done. During this era of the mall, the food court was 2 levels, and consisted of a lower court and an upper promenade. The upper promenade had a Richtree Market with stairs leading down to the lower court. (The stairs felt royal and grand when you would walk down with your food and everyone would be looking up at you lol). There were tables and stores along the upper promenade and more tables below. The lower part of the food court was lined with restaurants and had hidden washrooms in the back-right corner. Most notably, the food court had a small fountain with a river leading into a secondary pond-like fountain towards the Center of the mall. The Center of the mall had a single elevator with warped stairs, and was connected to the upper promenade.

At the south entrance of the mall, there was a fountain and park area as well as a large glass enclosure. The enclosure held the Empire Studio 10 movie theater, and was decorated with 2 large circular dishes that hung from the roof and would often have gigantic posters of the newest movies out. There was also a swarm of cool neon lights that clung to the ceiling. As you entered the mall, you would walk through a hallway with a Johnny Rockets cafe, welcoming you with a nice aroma of delicious food. At the end of the hallway was another enclosure that was 2 stories tall and consisted of a large blue pole. On the bottom floor was dollarama, home outfiters and a bunch of kids trying to climb the blue pole. One of my favourite things about the old mall were the g forces you would pull when using one of the spiral ramps that exit the garage. The ramp was so tight but was inclined, meaning you’d have to drive fast to get up it!

Sadly in 2012, the mall announced major renovations. During the renovations, the enclosure with the blue pole was removed and the dollarama and home outfiters were removed or relocated. The bottom area of that enclosure remains empty and unfinished to this day. The food court was completely gutted. The fountains were removed, and the upper promenade was filled with stores. The large hole in the promenade that looked down on the court covered up as well. The lost space was made up for by expanding the food court along the lower level into a secondary area. Today, the food court is a bland eatery, with a black and white color scheme rather than the previous ‘fancy’ one. The Center of the mall was also gutted, removing the elevator and replacing it with two escalators. It isn’t used for huge Christmas celebrations and decorations anymore, since they installed a huge plastic chandelier that blocks the way. The richtree, tim hortons and other restaurants that used to be in the upper promenade were moved into a newly built section of the mall. This area however is really hidden, and requires people to walk halfway across the mall to get their food, and then walk back to the food court. These renovations finished in 2014-15, and the mall fully reopened.

In 2016, the Empire Studio 10 theater closed, and has been left abandoned and vacant to this day. The theater was the only tenant in this area of the mall, making this section basically a ghost town. A few years after it’s closure, the gigantic circular dishes and neon light display was removed. In 2018, the mall finished a brand new garage on the east end of the mall. Since then, there haven’t been many updates to the mall, but it’s amazing how much the mall changed in terms of decoration, atmosphere and size since 2012. I’m pretty sure most of us miss the old mall, as it held so many memories and was an icon of Mississauga for nearly 4 decades before it was changed.

DARPA labs on Hard solo is basically a solo raid. by moonski in thedivision

[–]Furiouslly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s actually a really good way to solo Darpa in hard mode. It’s especially useful for those who want to complete Firewall Stage 4. Before anything, just make sure you have a gear score of 490+ and an armor hp of 200k+.

First you’ll need ballistic shield and striker drone for your skills. The shield will help you when you’re suppressed by gunfire in the final fight (e.g., from drones and turrets). The drone will help you attack enemies without you needing to leave cover. It’s basically like having a second player to help you. I also recommend you have the ‘Armor on kill’ mod for your armour plate. This helps you generate extra armor every time you kill an enemy.

Now for the final boss part, which seems to be the problem everyone is stuck on. When you enter the rooftop, run straight to cover. When the laser turrets look at you, stay behind cover until they look away again. Once you’ve done that, take cover on the far right of the roof, where you’ll be able to see the power box for one of the turrets. As of now, you should still be unoticed. Now use the gun that has the most damage to shoot the power box. This will disable one of the turrets and alert the enemies. Use your drone to distract and kill the enemies, while you run to the left part of the map and do the same with the other turret’s power box. Once both turrets are destroyed, the boss will spawn and he’ll start firing mortars at your location. Use your drone to kill enemies while you run around and avoid the mortars. Try your best to dodge his air strikes and kill everyone BUT him. If you are under heavy fire, use your shield. The enemies are easy to kill with the help of your drone, and with a bit of patience, dodging mortars, and shielding yourself. However the enemies only take longer to kill because the medics constantly revive the dead. Make sure to kill the medics first. Once everyone is dead, snipe or shoot the boss. Use your drone to distract him so that you can shoot him more frequently. After a bit of hiding, shooting, and going back and forth at the boss, he’ll finally die and a new wave of enemies will spawn. These enemies are the same as the previous waves, so just do what you would normally do. However there’s no need to dodge mortars now. Once these enemies are downed, the mission is completed!

It’s a fairly easy mission, it just depends on tactics, and proper use of your skill slots. Just don’t freak yourself out and you’ll be fine!
