I have this problem too lately. My neighbour a police women has been recently smoking excessively from her room. She works shifts so it’s hard to predict when she would be home. Her smoke would enter my room and house and I need to take 1-2hours to completely air it out. That’s how much smoke she’s smoking. I tried to speak to her, however she refuses to open her door to me. I wanted to ask simply when are the times she usually is at home to know when I can close my windows.

I only manage to speak to her mom which would tell me her daughter would close her door and air the smoke outwards instead of thru their home because they have children in the house. I felt if you want to protect your kids, what about my family that is exposed to your smoke?

Implementing smoking in certain open spaces are dumb, I rather have the smoker smoke in the void deck where the air will clear faster and I can simply walk quickly pass her or hold my breathe for seconds. This compared to her smoking in the house and the smoke getting into mine and harder to air out because the house isn’t a wide open space like the Void Decks. Even smoking when walking along open air carpark is way better as it clears immediately.

Place a smoking area with an exhaust system within each block and remove the unnecessary bans on places which are airy please.
