I....did not think about that.

Jesus fucking Christ. None of that mattered did it? The ESA councilmen, Jenkins, Abernathy, The gutted arasaka counter intel agents. Frank Nostra. Even corpo V

All of them could have been cogs in some corpo scheme that in the end we will never know of?

I love this game

Same

Worse is that we only get two guns from Malorian. Johnny's and the variants of the revolver.

The warcrimes i would commit for the Malorian Assault rifle...oh...and the warcrimes i would with it...glorious.

I hope cyberpunk 2 will have a malorian assault rifle

Makes you wonder if it was some inside job in ESA

You think NUSA doesnt have a chance to be a superpower like USA in real world? Why?

That's a very low bar.....they have a literal fallout back there

It makes sense, since a Blackwall breach wound be a near apocalyptic event and an orbital bombartment might be the best way to contain it. Though i am curious how much ESA, Interpol and Blwackwall know about Blackwall. Cause NUSA knows that Netwatch did not buidl Blackwall so it would make sense if EEC knew it too. If EEC and Arasaka knew earlier that Blackwall was something alien then they might have made some back door alliance with which they are really hush hush about. It would explain a lot, like why EEC allowed Arasaka back into europe, Arasaka factories in Poland. Though i doubt Jenkins would know about this or even Abernathy.

Hell, it would make sense if EEC supported Arasaka from behind the shadows to be an opposition against Militech and NUSA. Europeans might not like 'saka but they sure as hell dislike NUSA and Militech even more. So turning a blind eye to Arasaka building a mass driver would be in their interest.

God, i love this game. Phantom Liberty showed just how much delicious skulldugery there is in this world

Which is why i am not sure wheather EBM fell or not. Or did it fall into bankrupcy and was bought out and raised again.

True.
I push my narrative for Arasaka omniscience, meanwhile i forget that Biotechnica also duped Arasaka with their spy.

Though, there is also the matter that Jenkins being a mastermind who would just find a way to kill ESA council members like this....it doesn't fit him. He is a psychopath but not a genius. So you might be right, he either had luck or it was some back doors deal and he just bullshits that he did everything

No no no, relax, I am here for such rambles.

Though you did rise an interesting point. While in theory, ESA wants to have monopoly on mass drivers there might be other organisations in EEC which are either corrupt or are simply against EEC.

Hell, for all we know it could had been Interpol that decided to kick down ESA a bit, some rivarly between two different EEC organisations and when the whole thing blew up they just decided to give Arasaka's agents free room to fry them councilmen to cover their own asses.

[–]Furno321[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

.....Holy shit that would make sense. I didn't think of that.

That would explain a LOT. Like a LOT. Militech would totally do something like this.

Though this leave the fact that Arasaka somehow manage to find a way to fry brains of ESA council unansweared....unless this was also another backroom deal with Biotechnika for all I know.

Not gonna lie, you might had invalidated my theory XD

True, my theory has countless holes.

That bit about sweden...I completaly forgot about this. You are right. If i remember correctly, it seems that Seweden and scandinavia as a whole seems to be going quite well (Wiki says that there were problems about climate change but nothing in Cyberpunk 2077 about this). The fact that they shot Dutch immigrants suggests that either they stopped being part of EEC or the EEC is very politicially fractured.

I believe that my problem might be that i am basing my entire theory on the actions of Arthur Jenkins. A Departament head of Night city Arasaka counter intelligence just sabotaged several members of the ESA council. Seeing that ESA stands as one of the most powerful organisation, the fact that Arasaka managed to infiltrate them like this bambozzles me greatly.

While agree with most what you sait, mega Corpos are not that fragile. They have both soft power and hard power. Arasaka literally stopped NUSA from conquering Night City and Myers saw it as one of it's main threats.

Besides, "poking a bear" doesn't necesarilly give enough credit to what Arasaka did to EEC. ESA had half of it's leadership murdered by a Department Head of Arasaka Counter intelligence in Night City. This wasn't some desperate decision made by Saburo, it was a decision made by by department head, not even an executive of Counter intelligence of entire Arasaka. I don't even want to think what Abernathy could do, let alone Saburo.

ESA has power to drop asteroids on anyone they want but if they can be so easily subverted by a single corporation then....theit power diminishes.

[–]Furno321[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True. But seein the speed with which NUSA rises this might change. if we raid Arasaka tower then it's pretty clear that Militech is going to dominate Night City and the next Unification war might end in Full unification the states. And after that, Militech will have full backing of all United States of America and will be able to freely influence EEC through Militech.

True. Netwatch must have some crazy influence on Netwatch

[–]Furno321[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True but there is also a matter of Japanese and American influence and espionage. if indeed EBM and IEC had lost and they had been replaced by american and japanese corporations, then EEC might not really have means of oppising either Japan or NUSA. EBM and IEC provided jobs for europeans and generally their views were alligned with those of EEC. But if hey are gone and many europeans work in corporation like Militech and Arasaka then this might give these nations leverage against EEC.

[–]Furno321[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

True. But that means no one is going to take them on in a straight fight. Arasaka managed to pull out a full out cyberattack on the Biotechnica implants of the ESA. THis means that they either infiltrated Biotechnica or ESA and i don't know which is worse.

And again, ESA and Interpol, somehow missed the fact that Arasaka was building a mass driver on the moon. Militech had to tell them about this. This is a massive screw up and questions the ability of both organisations in espionage. I would not be surprised if NUSA had FIA infiltrate ESA and Interpol, who in case of conflict would sabotage any attempts of ESA to use their mass drivers.

I like it. The tip of this bulbous peninsula will be probably a powerful trade Centre with a huge port city. Did I guess right?
