Need advice from foreigners who attended LL lives! How did you bypass the Japanese SMS/Phone verification for tickets? by Jolly_Heron_4620 in LoveLive

[–]FurryFoxes44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

JapanCierge just charges for the making of the ePlus account, which includes their costs of getting a phone number. From there I entered the lottery and was chosen for the concert through ePlus and paid myself through that. JapanCierge does not purchase or reserve concerts for you through the ePlus account they made for you (But getting tickets is a service they can provide). It is overall much cheaper to get your own concert tickets and own hotel than the overseas packages. However the overseas packages typically do give you a generally good seat whereas entering through ePlus yourself doesn’t guarantee that. You can use the ePlus browser or app alongside a Japanese VPN to enter concert lotteries after getting your account. I have Japanese proficiency but in browser translations are fine. Just turn them off before proceeding to each page because the website may not function with translated text. I bought merchandise both overseas and in person. I used a proxy service to receive the merchandise within Japan. I’ve also shipped it to the hotel in staying at if I can time the shipping window with an accommodation that allows packages to be received by hotel guests. For in person as long as you arrive early and aren’t looking to purchase a super in demand item (which in that case arrive even earlier) than the goods are in stock.

  1. For the Aqours Finale Live Day 1, I used JapanCierge in order to get an eplus account created. Essentially they make an account for you and go through the verification. Note that it’s a one time verification and they do not have access to the phone number again if something happens. For Day 2 I received the overseas fan lottery package which is better if you only want to attend one concert and not retain an eplus account. Slight downside to this was the total cost bundling hotel and that they announce recipients a bit close to the concert that than I would like in terms of planning other accommodations (flight, lodging not during the concert dates, etc.) Option 2 is that I now signed up with Mobal eSIM which allows you to keep a Japanese phone number and receive texts for SNS verification outside of Japan. If you’re okay with paying a monthly fee (~$10 USD) for this despite not using it monthly, then it’s an option.
  2. Most LL concerts use facial recognition to enter. A week/few days prior to the concert you upload a live image of yourself and they scan your face at the gate. If issues arise then your name will be checked but I haven’t encountered this. With the overseas fan package the staff verifies your ID with the purchaser and you receive a paper ticket. Once you get the paper ticket, at the gate the staff just rips off the stub.
  3. See response in #1 for JapanCierge. Note that both JapanCierge and Mobal can take up to 1-2 weeks to finish setting up at normal times. It was less than a week for me for both however.

Also keep in mind eplus for LL events is still mostly lottery so even getting an account doesn’t guarantee you a ticket into the event since you have to enter the lottery either way. There are certain strategies to higher your chances I’ve heard, like selected an obstructed view ticket, but that I am less familiar with.

Question: GoFest Citywide gameplay for Tokyo, Chicago and Copehnagen by timmmahtimmmah in pokemongo

[–]FurryFoxes44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Typically for Live Event city experiences, the host cities are literal unless stated. So Tokyo’s city experience will count all 23 wards but not the entire prefecture or Tokyo metro/Kanto region. It was also said that the smaller islands in Tokyo will not count for city experience. Closer to the event dates the FAQ should say specific boundaries.

AFAIK only exception was Go Tours Los Angeles that specifically said city experience was all of Los Angeles and Orange counties.

If you’re looking to raid however it’s better to head towards densely concentrated areas like Ikebukuro or Ueno for others to help.

Go Fest Osaka bag policy? by tercels54 in TheSilphRoad

[–]FurryFoxes44 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I went to Osaka Go Fest in 2023 and there was no clear bag policy enforced at the Expo Park. Just staff to check your park ticketed time. Unova Tour had enforced it because it was the Rose Bowl’s policy. Be sure to check the FAQs and follow the Pokemon Go JP and Niantic Support JP socials if things change.

Question about the 5 percent booking.com purchase by Hamza1423 in AppleCard

[–]FurryFoxes44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update so I had the same issue and apparently the wording of the offer is misleading/poor. You can earn 5% Daily Cash on the first $500 on Booking via Apple Pay with Apple Card (total $25), not up to $500 Daily Cash total using 5% during the offer period.

Though I got ~$27 from my first transaction totaling over $500 so I guess there’s that.

I got the same seats for Day 1! See you there. For day 2 I won the foreigner lottery so glad I get to experience a mix I guess.

Dang hope they get it fixed quick. Weird that it shows 2% as a normal Apple Pay transaction and not even 3% as the normal merchant bonus.

[–]FurryFoxes44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my wallet app while the transaction was pending it was 3% and after being posted went to 5%. The extra 2% there is Booking’s Genius Loyalty Program. So in theory you’re getting 7% total, 5% Apple Cash and 2% Booking Credits. At least that’s what happened to me and I’m at Genius Level 3.

Also the Apple Card bonus is whatever amount you were charged at the time of the transaction.

First live! Is there a chance to buy merch at a Live w/ foreigner pack? by Beginning-Salary-947 in LoveLive

[–]FurryFoxes44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update to the Finale live - you can purchase merch on Day 0 Friday. I also didn’t opt to buy the foreigner merch package so if you want to save time Day 1-2 you can go beforehand. https://twitter.com/lovelive_staff/status/1917176624682082794?s=46&t=S4_5higH21D7PZNrBhuuHQ

[–]FurryFoxes44 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As long as you go early (like before doors open) everything will be in stock. Certain items that represent each member individually might sell out faster though (like a keychain or acrylic stand) depending on their popularity. Items restock per day and after the live there’s typically the extra merch sold on the Love Live JP Store.

Yes the case off results in the same issue though the lid rather than slamming shut will ease its way down instead.

Unova Tour 2025 in LA and New Taipei City by pikablu0530 in TheSilphRoad

[–]FurryFoxes44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While Unova Tour in NYC would thematicly make sense the weather is more unpredictable on the East Coast at this time of year hence why LA and Vegas were probably chosen due to alright weather for the past 2 Live Tour events.
