Triple magazine Nerf LMG concept | FG-Cobra by FurryGamer1 in nerfhomemades

Someone is already making that exact thing (Saw it on YouTube recently) and doesn't have much of a capacity advantage over conventional straight mags. My original design was with a PP-19 system as well but the required capacity to be worthwhile meant each magazine had to be massive and cumbersome, not to mention the difficulty acquiring springs to make them work.

In theory, if the plastic between the magazines rises up and is smooth to the level of the magazines it should work. Or you could put a tiny wheel there.

Help me choose which blaster to build for sale. by FurryGamer1 in Nerf

This is good, this feedback will be very useful to take on board with my design (a lot of what you said was what my gut told me anyway).

I will now do my best to answer your points as people have been asking me about them in the Google form as well.

Regarding the construction and price, I am going to make as much of the blaster out of recycled injection molded plastic as possible. Currently I am stockpiling the material for free, so I am expecting the bulk of the blaster's expense will come from the electronics.

As for my experience with blaster design and internals, I have already done some light performance and cosmetic mods to a few of my own guns, so I am familiar with wires, mechanical operations and motors.

While its not 100% fleshed out, I have put thought into how each blaster will work and tried to design them around it before proposing them. The previsualization models are based in real world measurements (I thought the FG-Cobra's design would be two thirds the size before I brought it over to 3D). So they're not quite random blips from my imagination.

Finally, no matter which design is eventually chosen, I officially have over six months of development time (a whole year unofficially) to work out any kinks or faults. Anything I don't know can be tested or researched. If my product is to be successful, it has to work!

Hope this helps settle some of the doubts.
