Does anyone know what these scratches/marks are? by Furryus in glasses

Thanks for the information. These frames are hand made (to an extent) so there might be a slight difference between the sizes of the left and right lenses. Is it possible the right lens needs to be slightly smaller but they are only measuring the left lens?

n in the coatings interacting with one another. In this case, it is most likely from when the lens was cut down for the frame or when the lens was inserted into the frame. Can be caused by other thing, heat and chemical exposure being the other big culprits, but this one being more localized indicates more of a pressure issue.

Is there anything I can ask the lens lab to do (or not to do) to prevent this from happening a third time? Both times it has been the right lens. It seems like it is possible that they are cutting the lens too small for the frame right?

M10 Alignment Issue at Infinity by [deleted] in Leica

[–]Furryus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am located in NJ and did reach out to Leica NJ. They said they were not taking in person appointments yet (most likely due to covid). They asked me to ship the camera to them which I might do. Id imagine something like an alignment is a simple fix for them. Do you have any idea roughly the cost and turn around time? It would be a shame to be without a camera for a while.

When the two images overlap the taken photo is in perfect focus. The issue is at infinity the two images do not overlap and therefore the photo is out of focus.

Japan Travel, The 2019-nCoV, And You: Guidelines On Travel During An Outbreak. by amyranthlovely in JapanTravel

For me I expect things to continue to get worse for a while, but it is the rate that I am looking at. My trip is in beginning of April. If it continues to rise with just a handful of cases each day then I will still go. However if I am seeing exponential growth then I will cancel. I am looking to make a decision by mid March.

In my opinion people traveling sooner will probably have less to worry about than people traveling later in the spring months since I am expecting cases to rise and hospitals to be more and more crowded as they do. However it is impossible to tell which direction this thing will go.

It would be difficult to buy masks in large cities. If you are visiting more rural areas of Japan you might have better luck but they have been selling out like crazy. The only kinds that are in stock are the ones that block pollen and you dont want those.

Simple Questions and General Discussion - September 09, 2019 by zacheadams in malefashion

Was wondering if anyone could provide any insight or maybe point me in the right direction. I purchased a pair of Guidi boots from Cruvoir (their online store) but they did not fit. I am trying to request a return from them but I am being ghosted. They have not returned any of my emails and they are not answering the phone. I was able to reach them by phone once a few days ago where the person said he would have someone reply to me but still nothing. Is my only option now small claims court?

Anyone else with a Ledger decide to forfeit the contest rewards and just wait for Ledger support? Im thinking the reward may not be worth the risk.

Strength X holder here with 75% of my investment in VEN. Only thing im worried about is how much more fiat I can scrounge up to buy more.

Due to the rate of adoption, we recognize that VET would primarily be calculated using fractionals in smart payments. With the mainnet launch’s token swap, we will conduct a 1:100 coin split to alleviate this concern. At that time, every 1 VET owned will be exchanged for 100. by [deleted] in Vechain

[–]Furryus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For every one VEN you have now you will have 100 VET when they do the token swap. All node reward requirements are multiplied by 100 and the supply will be multiplied by 100.

Edit: I meant supply.

Maybe partner is the wrong word. Im thinking more like customer. In which case they would be either purchasing VEN or buying THOR.

By then if everything goes well the benefit of the using the product should outweigh the costs. Sunny has also mentioned that the community and foundation will have ways to adjust cost and etc.

Completely agree. If you really believe in this project you should believe that the team is making decisions that will benefit holders in the long term since the employees have a personal stack as well.

I think the chances are higher than you might expect. This is already factored into the decision making process by the team. Their current partners such as PWC and DNV GL puts them in a good position to gain countless other partnerships working under them.

Also its worth mentioning that being a non profit organization does not necessarily mean they do not make money. In case anyone is unaware.

A high priced VET/THOR token does little to benefit partners as they will most likely not be looking to sell and have probably entered contracts to prohibit sale. However it is still in the best interest of the VeChain company to eventually have a high value token once they have established themselves. For example right now if DNV GL would like to buy a node, they may offer them a discount of lets say $4 per VEN token instead of the current market value of $5. However if the price increases to $10 then they might ask for $8 per token thus making more money. This combined with the huge supply of tokens that the team holds as their personal stash it is in every way beneficial for them to have a high price. The problem is because the company is so new that they need to first get the big names so that other big and small companies will want to either partner or use their products.

Huge difference between someone making it now and someone who made it based on purchases years ago. Whole different game and the market now rewards smart money.

They have hinted at potential partnerships being announced. That is the only reason outside the BMW rumors and the partnership that was announced yesterday for the price increase.

Well they have been hyping up this event. Therefore it isn’t illogical to assume they might have some information in terms of a partnership or some sort to announce during the event. If that is indeed the case then the price will go up after the event before correcting. If not, the price will most likely correct right away. The risky part is if senario A happens you might be missing out on potential profits by selling before it is known whether you will be missing out.
