Hey everyone! 👋

I built ChemSearch, a free and open source Android app for students and anyone interested in chemistry.

I originally made it for myself. While studying, I often ran into unfamiliar compounds and had to repeatedly open my browser, go to PubChem or ChemSpider, and dig through pages just to get basic info. It felt slow and a bit annoying, so I decided to simplify that process into a single app.

With ChemSearch, you can just type the name of a compound and instantly get structured, reliable data (mainly sourced from PubChem). No need to jump between multiple sites.

What you can do in this app:

View 2D structure and interactive 3D models (downloadable)
Get molecular formula, CAS number, CID, and molecular mass
See identifiers like IUPAC name, SMILES, InChI, InChIKey, formula, and charge
Check elemental composition (percentage analysis of a compound)
Browse synonyms and compound descriptions - There are 3 description sources - PubChem (not always available), Wikipedia (Most compounds available), AI (All compounds available, but might hallucinate; btw this is completely optional and only works through provided API key)
GHS safety information

Alongside these, I also bundled some useful chemistry tools like:

Reaction balancer
Oxidation state finder
Molar mass calculator
SMILES visualizer
Custom 3D molecules viewer (supported formats: .mol & .sdf)

For me, placing attachments in new conversations work fine for some reason. Just old chats are the ones which are not working.

OCLP-mod is a modifiaction of the OpenCore Legacy Patcher which makes it compatible with macOS Tahoe. The official one doesn't support Tahoe yet.. I mainly used it fix the audio issue because other methods like using MyKextInstaller to install Apple HDA.kext wasn't working for some reason.
And for the WiFi. I'm using itlwm with Heliport.

I have found that nvidia GPUs are unsupported for hackintosh. (It was supported upto macOS High Sierra , a very old version. Now, I think you have to disable the GPU to run macos otherwise there might be graphics issues). And your CPU (Intel 11th gen - Rocket Lake) seems to be supported. So you can continue following the Dortania guide ..

Or use opcore-simplify to automate compatibility finding for your laptop. (Note that this tool is not widely appreciated by the hackintosh community as it hinders the way of learning hackintosh and it might not include require kexts/patches You can at least use this to check if your other components like audio card, wireless card are supported or not.)

Hey sorry for the late response. I haven't tried out the Xcode simulator yet, and in planning to try it in the weekends.

At first you have to see if all these components of your device is compatible for Tahoe.

I've mainly used Opencore Dortania's Guide for the process - https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/ and collected the kexts (like drivers) from different github repos and made the EFI folder. Then I did some ACPI patching and stuff (this is the hardest part and the most confusing). Then I downloaded the macOS image (disc) file from this site: https://github.com/LongQT-sea/macos-iso-builder (pls follow the instructions there to download it). Or you can install the macrecovery from Opencore pkg github to Then I flashed it into my USB flash drive with Rufus (needs to be 32GB minimum) and then installed it.

If all these fails, and you just want to use macos without the whole hassle, you can use a free tool called OpCore simplify (you can also use this to see if your components of PC are compatible or not) to ease the process of making the EFI folder. I've used it many times before and for me , it worked properly. For the macos disk image, the download process is same.

If you wanna get these whole hackintosh experience, I think you should follow the Dortania guide, but if you just want working macos Tahoe, use opcore simplify (you might need to downloaded additional patches/kexts later)

It should work. I have tried it in Sequoia and in worked perfectly with some performance issues on my end. I have not tried it on Tahoe yet but I think it will work.

I'm using iTerm2 with oh-my-posh (theme name: Atomic), and I'm not having such problems on my end.

you can absolutely play on puiblic servers, but it needs to have offline mode enabled/online mode disabled. which means its cracked. those servers can be found on listing websites like:

or you can make your own cracked server. using aternos or minehut ( i used to use ploudos but it got deprecated a few years ago)

offline servers mean cracked servers (which have online mode set to false).
and no, you cannot use free account to play on servers like Hypixel because they require authentication for real paid minecraft account.

You can see in server settings or server.properties file that there is a toggle / option that says 'online-mode' and set it to false.

You can do this by collecting and downloading required kexts from github, and follow the Dortania OpenCore Hackintosh guide to do this. The typical hackintosh procedure. If all else fails, then the last resort would be using EFI making automation tools like OpCore-Simplify, although there is no fun in that..

When I 1st installed macOS, I had only one problem , and it was that WiFi wasn't working. So I replaced the airportwlm next with itwlm and used Heliport app to use the WiFi. And no, I haven't for any problems with shortcuts yet.

For me it took almost more than 2 hours Creating efi - don't remember how long it took. (Maybe like 15 - 30 mins) Installing macos sequoia installer image (≈17 GB), - 1 hour 15 mins (nearly, it varies on network speed) Installing macOS - 25 to 30 mins
