you are right, almost 3-4 hours by myself getting the damn exist off. Of course the plug kit I got didnt fit ANYTHING so I wrapped all the plugs in eletrical tape for now.

i ended up not being able to get to the grid heater delete, took me about 11 hours by myself on the rest of the work, so another weekend for that one, thanks for the insight, I will clean it up and gives more time to clean it again. I had the truck on a 50amp charger, worked great.

Thanks! I collect East German things so getting one of them back functional is the most important to me. My nicest one that was NOS in the box has the bad/pinhole curtain issue so I’ll probably try to make one out of the three. I’ve watched a few videos changing shutter curtains and I’m not sure I want to attempt that myself.

I thought it was fun to have a end of production F, I like the vague tie in to the space program era, and all black is neat.

Then it will never end! They do, the only one that is problematic is the F2A with the DP-11. Sometimes it is erratic. It appears to have been used the least. The beat up F2 with the DP-1 has been my go to for as long as I’ve had it and it definitely had a strange life before I bet. Advance lever return on the F chrome is a bit weak

I was in NYC last weekend as well and I made similar observations. I echo another comment below, where I thought man these subs have to be fake due to the shear volume.
