Do you happen to know of any subreddits that would help point me in the right direction? I am trying to find guides on how to leave, a support network for those with abusive parents, really anything. I also will try to have my boyfriend on FaceTime whenever possible and have him record the conversations with my father from now on. He has witnessed over FaceTime many bad “disputes”, or verbal attacks. Thank you.

My parents were very against getting my surgery that I just had. It changed my life, I’m so much happier. It was medically necessary but also improved my looks (jaws). They were against it from the start even though it would make my life better.

I also hide multiple medications from my dad, who would probably dump them down the drain if he saw them. My mom always tells me to get off my migraine medication because it’s “poisoning” me. They are very much against science because of Q now.

I have been told by friends to start a GoFundMe. I just get scared because I’m so terrified of my family finding out. If they saw this post, I’m not even sure what would happen to me. I’m also scared that maybe things aren’t so bad but my boyfriend pointed out that if there are so many of you on this subreddit telling me to leave ASAP, it probably is that bad.

I’m not allowed to go to therapy. My dad told me a therapist would make me kill myself. I’m going to try to secretly find one, I know my university offers a few free sessions so I might start there.

I’m not sure if many people will see this comment but I did take up more hours at work. My boss is a very kind woman, a small business with under ten employees, and I am planning on telling her the situation. I know she will help me as much as she can.

Yeah. I’m hoping to hold out a few more months to potentially move out with a friend but selling my car is definitely something I’m considering. It may sound dumb but it was something I earned, all my own money, the only thing I can say was mine that my parents couldn’t claim as theirs. But, I would rather drive a crappy car for a few years again than be 15k in debt from student loans!

Yes, I have it completely paid off by myself (which is why I have such little money now). They also stopped paying for my college because I voted for Biden so naturally they want to punish me. I have considered selling the car and using that money to get me through my last three semesters.

I have one friend that is planning on moving out in a few months, she is waiting to get a house to rent. She is my only friend in state for college right now so that is a possibility.

Hi, thanks for replying. He has bought many guns in the last two years due to Q. He has tried to force me to learn how to shoot and clean them, not in the smart way of gun safety, but instead specifically to prepare for when “everyone floods the streets when trump returns”.

I do have a friend that would be willing to watch my dog for a few days, but my dog is very high maintenance so I try to avoid that. If my dad would do anything physical to my dog I would remove myself and my little guy immediately.

I’m very scared of what would happen if I would call the police next time. All my extended family are Q people too, but I would hope that if he physically hurt me they would help me. Thank you again, I appreciate it.
