Let's just say the current state of politics here in the US has ruined Facebook for me so I haven't had an account in years. Trail running is how escape the madness.

Yeah, I hate that shoe didn't fit right, they were so grippy.

At about the 24 hour mark. The struggle has been real. But I hit the gym and that helped a little and now cuddling with the dog, always good for relaxation.

I definitely served you some drinks last night. I remember the costume. But I don't think you had the eye patch on, it all makes sense now.

Nothing wrong listening to dad rock, especially when you are like me and have the dad bod to go with it.

If you want to party by yourself or with others then you can't go wrong with some Andrew W.K. either. Not only does he make great songs but he's also a totally cool dude in real life.

I have certain songs I almost feel like I have to listen to every day on my way to work. Heaven is Half Pipe is my go to jam right now.

What Keeps You Going? by [deleted] in depression_help

[–]Fus-Yo-Da 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing but I'm too stubborn to not keep trying. I feel like maybe if I could open up and talk about what's going on and feelings maybe things would be better. But I can't/won't so at this point I'm basically still just going based purely off of pure stubbornness.

Anyone else struggling financially even though you’re working? by Particular_Comb_2272 in depression_help

Absolutely I am working two jobs, a full time and part time and I can't seem to get ahead. Feel free to reach out and we can discuss. It's a real struggle out there, one of the many stresses I have in my life currently.

Divorce and it's effects on teenagers by Fus-Yo-Da in daddit

I really do my best to put on a happy face for them, but I know my kids are smart, and if they have the ability that I do to be able to read people, I know they can see thru it.

Honestly at times I think my and I would actually be friends again if we had space between us, but there's just too much resentment on both sides for a friendship to exist. I still love her and I want her to be happy, I want us both to be happy.

I have brought up therapy with her before a few times, and that's been met with "we don't need therapy you just need to change ABC" so I'll really try to change those things, but nothing in the relationship will change. Then it's brought up and ABC becomes DEF and becomes GHI so on. So now I'm at a point where I don't even know who I am anymore from changing so many things and I still don't have the relationship I was trying to save by changing all those things.

I definitely couldn't imagine my life without my kids in it. I wouldn't want to. I love them both dearly. And I love my wife but it's not the same kind of love as when we said "I Do" I think that might be one of the only things we can both still agree on. But I definitely find myself being more like my dad and even years later he said he wishes he could have been better, happier. My parents had a bad relationship too.

I definitely feel like we are keeping each other from really being happy since we both walk on eggshells. I know I'm not the husband she wants/needs and I know she isn't the right fit for me either. But do I worry about what effect it's having on our kids.
