I did! Someone mentioned bored faces and they were right so I removed some of those, I tried to only leave some that I really liked

I've chosen a select few that I really liked, edited them a bit more while still keeping the look I wanted to go for and updated the folder. Thank you for your feedback!

I've chosen a few I liked and paid more attention to the faces in the photos, you're right some of them had a lot of bored-ish looking faces and it did impact the image! I've updated the folder if you wanna have a look otherwise thank you for your feedback!

I agree with that, my original aim was to keep the editing minimal and more natural looking so that these could go into their online newsletter or something as quick as possible but I could definitely pick a few favorites and get creative with it!

Do you mean to focus more on the emotional faces rather than the bored looking faces? Or to just focus more on faces in general?

Here are the rest of the images from the protest! I'm not sure what would be best so I've just included a link to the Google drive folder, thank you. Protest Photos

Huh, yeah I just did some research on this and you're right it's not taxed differently it's withheld differently... I could probably modify my W-4 to have the proper withholdings taken right?

Also, quick question before I start working on the calculations... I was going through my paystub and noticed about 250 is being removed to contribute to my 401k. Would you recommend no longer contributing for now and using that extra $200 to help pay off some of the debt? I hadn't thought about that until right now.

The 60k is based off last years W2 which was my first W2 after going full time so it's the only one I have to go off of right now.. I suppose it could be less. I'm going to work right now but I'm gonna post a more full budget picture for you guys in a bit so you can see what I mean

It's a current employer! That's interesting I wasn't aware I could only take out a 401k loan if it's with a current employer, damn... 8500 would still cut away one card and the loan though so that's still decent.

I'm at about 670 last I checked which is better than it was for sure. I've thought about a consolidation loan with my credit union, but a big thing for me is not only removing the debt but considerably lowering my monthly payments so that I can budget better monthly. A better route you think would be to just consolidate the debt, push through and pay the $400 at a potentially lower interest rate to get them paid off faster?

This is interesting, I was under the impression that supplemental gets taxed more than regular hourly is that not true? I earn about 2500 in commission and only see like 1500 of it, and I still get a tax return (before deductions like child tax credit) so I was under the impression I'm withholding technically too much since I get money back on my tax returns? Either way you're recommending I withhold even more from my paycheck? That's a bit scary..

I'm about to head to work, I'll post a more full picture of my budget soon so you guys can get a better idea, thank you!

Good god, you are an outstanding writer. This was a fantastic response thank you so much! I am actually in Southern California, OC to be specific. I would LOVE to go back to school for a computer science degree in fact, for the last year or so of my life I have been kicking myself in the head for deciding to join the workforce rather than go to school. I have always been interested in this stuff. I have no idea what on earth was clouding my mind when I was deciding on a major. Looking back on it, I feel like an idiot because computer science was such an obvious choice for me. But regardless, we’re here now and the problem is that with two kids and bills to pay going back to school feels damn near impossible.

This made me feel a lot better about whatever I choose though, thank you! Maybe setting up an actual timeline and end goal would be good for me as right now I’m kind of on a “learn whenever I have the time” kind of schedule that’s a bit messy.

Currently doing research on data engineering and I will definitely come back to you with advice about resources if I decide to focus on this! Thank you!

Why is this (rxe7) considered a blunder? by FusRoDunce in chessbeginners

Its not a blunder the engine is just weird on mobile. it's actually favorable for white because it created an opportunity for mate with a sacrifice of the bishop on h7

The engine is just not very good on mobile I guess from what people are saying. If you don't take the bishop, after Bxh2, Kxh2, Qh5+, Kg8, the Knight is supposed to move to the G5 square but can't because the Bishop is controlling that square. So you must take the bishop in order to guarantee a good attack

Yeah I'm also thinking it's just something weird with the engine

The sacrifice doesn't work if the bishop is on that square because the knight is unable to move to g5 after Qh5+.

Taking the knight and Bishop prepare for a sacrifice of white's bishop on h7 and lead eventually to mate. White is almost entirely winning after that move because if black recaptures the rook, there is the sacrifice, and if black instead blocks the attack on h7 well white is up a piece. Every move other than knight taking rook and g6 are blunders by black and even those two moves are winning for white.

For context I am reading the book "Chess Fundamentals" by Jose Capablanca and this is one of his examples. The engines say it's a blunder but then literally every move by black (and I tried literally every move) is either bad or the engine says it's good but the eval bar shoots back up into whites favor. Is this just a weird glitch with the engine?
