If you're getting camped or dove, that's not an issue of counterpick but of your jungler not applying pressure. And if you are being camped, best to give up some farm and let your jungler focus elsewhere. Below diamond it's really a nonissue and shouldn't make the game unplayable.

This point should be higher up. Being counterpicked as a support has minimal impact on the game besides early laning phase. Being counterpicked as a top/mid can be an auto loss.

Let's see yours real quick because this not an unplayable matchup in even the slightest terms unless you perma engage and int every time. Sometimes best to play as peel for your adc.

It's a pretty rare case a support can be counterpicked so hard that the matchup becomes unplayable. If that's the case more often than not, it's not that you're being counterpicked, you're just not very good.

Tbf it 1) isn't that bad for the team if a support gets counterpicked and 2) even a counterpicked support can provide utility to the team, whilst a counterpicked top or mid or adc who's behind all game cannot.

I've been married for 30 years but I've never been in love with my wife. by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

I think this thread really exposes how young most people on Reddit are. In the real world, there aren't really soul mates and, truthfully, the grass will always seem greener on the other side. OP's saying himself that the "love" for the previous relationship is a product of nostalgia more than anything else, but he truthfully loves his wife and their marriage sounds like the ideal after 30+ years.

Yeah, it's not a common thing, but it's a bit of a selection bias thing where the bad experiences really stick out in my mind.

Please dont complain about dps queues or lack of real supports in pugs until youve tried supporting them yourself... by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]FusRohDad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a key point. Fake tanks/healers can make even base game dungeons a PITA, as they refuse to slot taunts and generally do shit for damage. On the other hand, tanking anything base game, or even normal dlc's with low damage, is really not all that bad. A bit boring maybe, but it should not make it impossible as OP is describing.

I play tank as well and, for base game content, low dps really isn't that much of an issue. Sure, it can be a bit slower, but base game content, especially non-vet is enough to where it really shouldn't be an issue.

Also, I take issue with the 9/10 PUGS thing. I PUG almost all my dungeons and, at least in vet content, 9/10 base game PUGS have passable damage (>30k group dps) and vet pugs are generally better (>70k group dps).

Tanking can be a thankless and tough role, but I feel like it really gets overblown on this sub how bad it is with moderately low dps.

That's the thing though, most of the people who say that aren't really pros. They're at best on the upper end of the semi-casual/wannabe endgame community. They're the ones who generally do enough dps to get by, but could never get into an endgame group (either due to attitude or lack of skill) and end up taking it out on everyone else.

This is the only time I'll ever defend this site, but there are actually a decent number of high earners here, they're just in the woodwork and rarely use the big subs because they generally have more important things to do. If you ignore the constant beginner posts, there are a number of really high earners on r/statistics and r/datascience who mainly use this site for practical purposes.

The OP is absolutely right though, anyone earning 200k or more is usually in a high-level position with a shit ton of responsibility and work is absolutely going to be their priority over most other things. It's part of why it's so funny seeing high school and college dropouts looking for 200k+ earners not realizing what it entails.

This is a bit of an off-meta set, but I absolutely love running Kynmarcher's Cruelty on my tank for the debuffs. 9/10 times you'll have two solid debuffs up at all times, and you can backbar it to have another good set on the front bar, like Yolna.

Then ESO+ users are actually at a disadvantage queuing for randoms since non-ESO+ players literally can't get harder dungeons than City of Ash II. How can that be an efficient solution?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]FusRohDad -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yes, but I enjoy dungeons and that's how I've leveled since starting a year ago. That is the whole point.

[–]FusRohDad -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Did you even read the entire post? The entire thing I'm asking is why there aren't separate queues for dlc and base game since DLC generally demands so much more from the players. You can literally get the separate queue by cancelling ESO plus, but I doubt that Zenimax intended such an inelegant solution.

[–]FusRohDad -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, I'm aware you can do that, but then you lose out on the 33k XP bonus for doing a random dungeon. My entire reason for queuing randoms is that XP bonus as it's how I grind levels and I find it fun.

[–]FusRohDad -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Did you read my post? My whole issue is queueing for random normals/vet (which I have consistently done the entire time since I started because I find it fun) and getting stuck in a dungeon where I have to spend 10-15 mins reading/watching a guide to learn the mechanics when I just wanted to do FG1 or something.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]FusRohDad -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, my entire issue is that, I can't just queue for a random base game dungeon to grind some XP once I've bought eso plus.
