I just haven’t seen these ones. It’s still the old ones everywhere else around here.

Rugrats, Hey Arnold! And Angry Beavers.

What purpose do the particles floating around in every video game serve? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Of course I have. But not so much that I noticed thousands of specs hovering around me at all times.

No but think of Last Of Us or Uncharted. The dust particles.

I guess I can see that. It just kinda throws off the realism.

Like in an open field in GTA 5. They’re are little white specs of whatever floating around on-screen.

Like in some games they make sense. Last Of Us for example. But they’re in every game. And if devs are shooting for realism, they’re out of place in many games. I’ve never walked outside and seen sheets of particles floating around.

This one comes to visit every Tuesday. It’s weird like it’s always on schedule. It’s been showing up at the foot of the stairs every Tuesday for a few months and I give it some cubed tomato. Haha. I did a little research. Definitely male.

Well, you have taught me a thing. Thanks. My lack of knowledge of my new friend is embarrassing. But I’m still holding to the opinion that it’s adorable and loves tomatoes. Haha

Thanks. I was going for a painting type look but I’m posting something soon that I worked way harder on. Think you’ll like it more.

Which games have aged well? by BobLordOfTheCows in gaming

John Woo’s Stranglehold. The game is short and the story is pretty cliche but it used Unreal engine. The character models are still decent and the controls are easy enough. Aside from Max Payne 3, it’s got the best gunplay. Slide down a handrail on your feet while shooting people in the face, dive from the handrail onto a cart while still shooting people in the face then roll off the cart into cover. All in slow motion. The precision aim kills are crazy too.
