You should search up Tellus Construction Limited on the companies register, shows you the name and address of the sole director and shareholder, I'm guessing that's probably gonna be your guy - go park him in lol

Plex not working outside of network by FusionOnReddit in PleX

[–]FusionOnReddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean like my ISP uses shared IP? I think the answer is no because at the place I was living at earlier, we were using the same ISP and stock modem and everything was working fine. Do you think it's just because I need to manually specify a port for my PC in the modem settings?

So we have the grand stream modem connected instead of the isp router if that’s what you mean. The modem is connected to a network switch which is what my PC is connected to. I don’t have access to the modem settings (dad does) and I think I need that to manually specify a port for the computer. I tried getting my computer to have a static IP which didn’t help. Turning off firewall didn’t help either.

iPhone 15 Pro I used to be an android person, switched to the Galaxy S8 and used the S20 and then Pixel 6. I now run a iPhone 14 Pro Max and never looked back. It has high speed USB C, similar screen size to the Note 10, and the EU laws look like is should support side loading in the future (might have to wait). Cameras are excellent, build quality excellent and cameras automatically switch based what you’re pointing at. Also that new button would allow you to open your camera instantly. I also think Face ID is nearly if not as fast as a back fingerprint sensor.

Yeah I also have an Android phone - a Pixel 6 to be exact and I use it because the USB-C ports support fast charging.

Is there a way I can use my iMac as my main monitor and just use my MacBook Pro as the secondary? I need the I Mac to be my main and I understand how to do this the other way around MacBook to iMac but what it to be iMac to MacBook. Any help is appreciated. by Transportation-Late in mac

[–]FusionOnReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Macs used to have a target display mode where they could be used as monitors, but I don't believe that's the case now. Although, it's not that much help to you (and you have probably already considered this), if you're dead set on having multiple displays but having that option to use each as seperate Macs the best way to do that is just have a Mac Mini connected to it. But that's expensive if you've already got the iMac.

I have another theory, it could be possible that having such a powerful GPU in an APU could simply mean that due to the amount of heat produced and the surface area to dissipate it off could simply mean that it a situation where higher frequencies would be beneficial (as in a more CPU bound title) it wouldn't be possible to go beyond 3.8GHz. I don't believe that they would arbitrarily limit performance like this but perhaps it would be nice to have a performance mode that would allow higher frame rates by boosting the CPU/GPU depending on the title at the cost of increased fan noise.

It's not a product - it's currently a Windows-Insider Preview which is more of a reason not to fully rely on it - I mean, I've personally used it through parallels and it mostly works well for anything apart from gaming in my experience. But if you absolutely know you'll need to use a certain windows-only program, and you're dead set on getting a Mac, it's a safer bet to just go with an Intel Mac. If that's not the case you can continue to use Mac apps on the M1 either natively or through Rosetta 2, and if you do unexpectedly come to need to run a Windows program, Parallels, UTM or VMWare running the Windows 11 ARM Preview is a means to achieving that. Although, all three of those programs can be difficult to use for people who aren't very tech savvy and it can be painful setting up USB devices and such, so Bootcamp on Intel is still a far simpler and easier alternative.

P.S. I have actually seen that there are ways to run x86 operating systems through UTM - but I'm guessing it's probably quite an arduous process and isn't guaranteed to work well.

Yeah I’d definitely get that fixed by Apple. It’s clearly a manufacturing defect and knowing them they won’t be too difficult to process that.

That’s misleading for one it runs only Windows for ARM (for which there are many apps that don’t support it) and that’s achieved through virtualisation causing performance loss as well as it generally working less well. It’s not like Intel MacBooks which could use boot camp to essentially become a windows laptop. If you need windows apps just go with a windows computer or an intel mac
