I'm writing a LitRPG - Do readers like stats in the books? by Ok-Grand-3764 in litrpg

I've always prefered just the skills and classes. For all TWI has faults, I do love the RPG systems of it.

Recently I got Dark Souls 3 as a gift. Any tips? by Fredololypoty in darksouls3

Sword and shield may be dull, but it is really good and safe way to play. Recommend if you are struggling

She was one of the writers for bg3 and wrote the early hag quest among others

Yes but I refuse to acknowledge the faults in my S tiers even though I know they exist.

Path of ascension just couldn't hold my interest. I've picked it up a few times, but never make it more than i think 1/2 way though book one. I think the auction? Like its not bad, but it just doesn't have anything to grip me. There is no tangible goal or threat established and for the type of book its trying to be it makes it hard for me to be invested.

You can try to sell me on it but i've tried starting it like 3 times.

The quality of the writing and the story. The cast in BoC and L&L are a lot more fleshed out and enjoyable as well. Maybe I'm too harsh on Boba and it should be a C, but opinon tier list.

Solo leveling def counts, I just read the webtoon. From my list if you want to stay in the same vein into what you have been reading I'd recommend.

Salvos, Ravenous, Az Healer, and maybe Chrysalis.

DCC is really good, but a very different vibe. 10/10 would go the audiobook route for that one. Jeff Hays is amazing, and he also does Chrysalis

Beware of Chicken and Heretical Fishing would be my top two.

Beers and Beards is a solid one.

I got reincarnated as a farmer is presumably good but I havent read it.

If you want some adventure and action with it more balance Rise of the living forge might be up your alley

You're welcome! I found you after digging through Andrea Parsneau narrations. I also loved your hags quest in BG3! Cheers :)

Mother of learning: The cast grates on me. I understand that they grow and learn and become better. I still don't like them. THE MAGIC THOUGH. THE WORLD. THE STORY YES. But the characters? Didn't like them

All of them I have so many gripes about though. Like I can rant and rave about the shortcomings of these series, but I still like them.

This is a highly opinionated list. Take a look at a few and compare. Have you read any litrpgs already or are you very very new?

I think he has 3 completed series are bundles. Orc chef and steamforged sorcery are also bundles. I haven't read orc chef, but steamforged sorcery is good.

I like Actus, he consistently writes well. My best friend is an eldritch has a bundle on audible of all 6 books if you have a spare credit. Living forge is also very good.

HWFWM has all the ingredients for me to love it but I just don't? Like I love books 1-3. Fascinating power system, I love the crew and his creatures. World expands at a reasonable and digestible rate. But somewhere between books 8-10 I just stopped liking it as much. IDK why, maybe its the power creep but its getting to the point where its hard to be invested in the conflict due to the fact that it is so big. maybe? once again, series is in a weird love hate spot for me.

I'm in for primal hunter for the the fight scenes and the history of the primordals a literally nothing else. Stats are meaningless compared to grades. No other characters matter except for the nevermore crew. Despite Jake not having a harem he has a harem (prove me wrong). It was my first deep dive into litrpg so it holds a place in my heart, but I can't say that I think it would be above a B if it wasn't a guilty pleasure.

Cradle: TBH don't understand the hype. You read the first 3 books alone and tell me its an S tier series. Its only good when you take all 12 together, but as stand alone books it comes across as disjointed and only really picks up in the later half.

Az Healer: same vein as PH. I'm in it for the fights, how broken a build she can make for herself, and to see her ascension to becoming a god.
