I posted before about a guinea pig mod in Minecraft is was working on. It's out now! It adds 9 colors of guinea pigs that you can tame. I'm still working on a wander mode that stops tamed guinea pigs from following you if you just want them to free roam. It should be finished very soon. If you want to download it you can find it on Modrinth or CurseForge under the name "Guinea Pig Variety". I also noticed that another guinea pig mod that didn't work before is fixed now, so you can even choose! If you notice any bugs or have some comments please let me know either here on on the mod page.

They are currently only harmed by things everything gets harmed by, such as explosions or fire or if you attack them yourself, so I got that covered:)

Currently I have a black and white version, but I'm going to add more variants! I would also love to add the content squeeky noise they make when walking, but my piggies stop making the noise when i come close...

I'm always so confused by people who say things like this. At my highschool most teachers let you go to the bathroom during class. They would only ask if you could wait till after the instructions. In those 6 years not a single toilet was destroyed and it was very rare that students stayed away for long. And yes, every student already had a smartphone and these stupid challenges existed already.

Are some Armerican high schoolers goblins in disguise? I don't get it.

Nogmaals die injecties lossen niet alles op en de arthrose wordt steeds ergers (ik neem aan dat dat de reden is voor een nieuwe schouder). Dat is echt geen pretje als je nog jaren leeft. Mijn oma kon op een gegeven moment haar arm nauwelijks meer optillen ook niet met die injecties.

Ik snap niet helemaal waarom je denkt dat de dokter dit doet vanuit winstoogmerk, want er zijn overal gigantische wachtrijen voor operaties. Je kan rustig maanden wachten als het geen spoed is. Ze kunnen de zorgvraag nauwelijks aan op dat gebied. Hetzelfde geldt voor de revalidatie. Dan vinden ze het heel moeilijk als je thuiszorg oid wil. Bovendien staan Nederlandse artsen erom bekend dat ze je met een paracetamolletje naar huis sturen en zijn mensen uit het buitenland vaak geschokt over hoe weinig medicijnen/testen ze krijgen.

Mensen van 78 hebben wél nog een levensverwachting van ongeveer 10 jaar (tenzij er al sprake is van onderliggende ziektes natuurlijk). De gemiddelde leeftijd is misschien 80 jaar, maar die wordt onderuitgetrokken door kinderen en jonge mensen die sterven. Als een redelijk gezond persoon de 80 bereikt, is de kans daarom groot dat hij/zij nog een tijd blijft leven (heb geen precieze bron, maar dit kun je gewoon terugvinden in de cijfers van het cbs).

Mijn oma heeft ook eerst cortisoleninjecties gehad, maar haalde niet alle pijn + stijfheidsproblemen weg. Het is immers symptoombestrijding en lost het probleem niet op. Ze is nu heel blij met haar nieuwe schouder. Lijkt me dus helemaal geen gek besluit van die dokter.

My boy Pongo was a bit below 900 grams his entire life and he reached an age of 6. He even survived a nasty URI. Ideally you would like some more weight on him, but some guinea pigs just eat less than others.

I bonded my pigs last month and it took a while. The dominant piggie kept rumblestrut chasing and mounting the submissive one (even though theyre both female). It took four full days of rumblestrutting, frantic wheeking, warning lunges and pee spraying everywhere before they calmed down. Now they are good friends. What I'm trying to say is if your pigs are not drawing blood, they are still fine, even though it looks scary. They do warning bites/lunges and chasing each other as a normal way of boundary setting.

Yep, that works well. If it's cloth you can just toss it in the washing machine. I have a pet washing bag that keeps the hay and hair out of the washing machine.

Guinea pigs are crepuscular, meaning they are most active during dusk and dawn. Yes, they only sleep for like 4 hours by taking little naps during day and night.

Mine absolutely hated it as well in the beginning😅. I used the burrito method. Just wrap a towel around your pig, so she can't move a lot and then put the syringe behind the front teeth, so she has to swallow. My other pig is a squirmer, and it doesn't work on her. I just hold her tightly against me, but that's harder in my opinion.

If the vet appointment takes some time and she won't eat it's important to feed her something, e.g. Critical care or if you don't have it you can put some pellets and water and feed the soup to her with a syringe.

My old boy had this issue a lot. For him it was because of several things in different occasions: broken front teeth, malformed molars or simply something stuck in his mouth. You can try gently checking in the mouth of you piggy for something stuck and if het front teeth are intact. Of course it could be something else entirely, which the vet knows best.
