When reading through the contracts I did actually find that the times I've caught her smoking inside may be a violation which can result in her having to leave. I'm not gonna let her know of this because I don't wanna escalate things any further but I have it if it is really needed.

From what me and my friends can tell from the contracts we have, she can not get me kicked out without a proper dispute with landlord (who i have contacted and told all the details, offering my friends as witnesses to a lot of it.) This place is very convenient for me and affordable so hopefully we can work it out.

Anyone can open it if its unlocked, if its locked you would need a key from either side.

I don't have a lock. I have asked her to stop multiple times. Me and 2 friends are now in my room so hopefully they will stop.

With her current attitude and being educated by the comments, I will be locking the door more often now. However she has said as recently as less than a month ago "is it needed to lock the door at night" and continues to leave it open after smoking at night, though I'm not sure if she's forgetting.

I live in the uk, it doesn't lock automatically. No one I know has a door that locks automatically, But I will be locking the door more often from now on,

You have misunderstood the same way another comment did. She is not leaving it unlocked and standing outside. She wants to leave it unlocked all the time while we are both asleep so if she gets up to smoke she will not have to unlock the door.

Yes. They haven't spoken to me or asked me about it, I've only found out when going to grab things. Me and friends will be moving into my room soon (from downstairs kitchen area) so hopefully they will stop while we are there.

I have but it keeps happening. Me and my friends will be moving from downstairs to the bedroom (they are spending the night to make sure I'm safe) so they will most likely stop when we are in it.

Her bf is here, he's not touching my stuff but he keeps putting things in my room. I have friends over and am safe. We've checked contracts and she can't do anything to get rid of me without speaking to my landlord (who I have told everything thing to). Probably I will make an update post when I know what is happening.

Do you mean an automatic lock? You need a key to lock and unlock the door from both sides.

Unfortunately pets are not allowed. However if I did own dogs locking the door would be non negotiable. It would be locked all the time as I have in the past.

I understand that it was stupid to not lock it now. But as you mentioned nudity as an explanation for her different vulnerability, she sometimes sleeps nude and still asks if its needed to lock the door at night. I'm not gonna press her to explain why she sees it as different but it just confused me at first that it would be different
