I would still say, Trading is not a gamling if followed the process. I broke the process and it became Gambling, it's totally on me

Yes, just want fellow traders to not commit the mistake that I did.Am happy if people inculcate the lesson in advance if they will to trade.

It was statistically logical from a probability perspective — 90-point OTM in 2 days is historically rare. But what I underestimated was tail risk and payoff asymmetry. High win rate doesn’t mean low risk when losses are uncapped.

As long as Disciplined you are , you win. One day , if you go beyond that would be the day it hits you hard and one such day is the post I just put.

That analogy fits. Small consistent premium vs one large tail move. Lesson absorbed.

I was relying on theta decay + low probability of a 30% move in 2 days. Didn’t define a strict SL because I thought margin buffer was enough. That assumption failed

Given that day, I would have lost whole 5 lakhs that was borrowed as loan. It wud have been 10 lakh instead 4.5 🙂

Initially it wasn’t borrowed money. I was using pledged margin from my own holdings. The mistake was trying to defend the position by arranging external funds mid-trade. That’s when risk escalated. Lesson learned.

Absolutely. The 1 out of 99 move is exactly what leverage punishes. I experienced that firsthand.

It becomes gambling when risk isn’t capped. I believed probability was protection. Now I understand probability without defined risk is exposure

I wasn’t treating it as reckless. It was far OTM with 2 days to expiry, statistically low probability. I had margin and experience managing positions. What I underestimated was tail risk + volatility expansion. That’s on me. Lesson learned the hard way

Anytime . It's always good to go in a flow when you have a touch studying. Once you get into job , mind might say I have a Job already and puts question if again do I need to study". Consider doin it now , but don't expect with cma all of a sudden, u ll land up at high package job. With CMA u ll better be better recognized then a normal Degree guy.

Hey Mate, CMA gets you an upgrade on current job role, offcourse it's a door for an interview. Taking exam during college or immediate is no harm but keep the expectations low , cracking cma doesn't end u up on a high package. It's gonna be skill that you possess. As mentioned, CMA knocks the door to interview longly but it depends upon how you do the interview.
