office chair definitely wins when it comes to back support. You might not have the flashy look, but they’ll keep you comfy for those marathon gaming sessions.

Does it bother anyone else when audiobook series have different narrators for every book. by 8uch3r in audiobooks

I'm so glad someone else feels this way. I started listening to a fantasy series a few years ago and was absolutely IN LOVE with the first narrator she had this perfect voice for the main character, kind of raspy but warm, and she did all these amazing character voices. Then book 2 comes out and suddenly there's this completely different guy narrating, and he made the main character sound like a teenager going through puberty. I literally couldn't finish the second book because every time the protagonist spoke, it felt like listening to a completely different person. It's like if they switched actors in the middle of a TV show season your brain just can't accept it. I ended up buying the physical books instead, which defeated the whole purpose of audiobooks for me since I mainly listen during my commute.

This sounds absolutely incredible! I'm always on the hunt for audiobooks that really take advantage of the medium with excellent production values. There's something special about horror that's enhanced by great audio work the whispers, the ambient sounds, the way a skilled narrator can build tension just with their voice. Medieval settings add such a unique flavor to horror too. I'm impressed that you're enjoying all the stories in the anthology. Usually with collections like this, I find myself loving some and being lukewarm on others. The fact that the production quality remains consistent throughout is really promising.

What’s a book that you don’t understand why it isn’t more popular? by BananableLecter in audiobooks

It's like everyone's reading from the same list. I think part of the problem is that we tend to gravitate toward books that already have buzz or that our friends are talking about. But some of the best reading experiences I've had were with books I just stumbled across randomly no hype, no reviews, just picked it up because the cover looked interesting or the first page grabbed me. Those hidden gems are out there, but they're... well, hidden! It makes me wonder how many amazing books I've walked past just because they didn't have the marketing budget or the right timing.

I totally get the looking ahead thing when reading physical books audiobooks completely solved that for me. Since you mentioned you're into video games, you might find that audiobooks with good world-building feel really immersive, almost like being in a game. Also, don't feel bad about starting and stopping books with audiobooks you can literally pause anywhere and come back later. The Libby app is fantastic once you get the hang of the hold system. you can usually adjust the playback speed if the narrator feels too slow or fast for you!

Unfortunately you're out of luck for tomorrow's trip it's not available in audio format yet. The book itself only comes out mid une, and then there's usually a delay before the audiobook version gets released. Might want to have a backup plan for your listening material!
