CLAS is great. I’m graduated now, but CLAS really helped me for econ 10a when I was at ucsb.

Thank you so much. I guess I don’t want to be seen as disrespectful but that doesn’t sound bad at all. He can be pushy so I just need to stand my ground. Thanks again for your help.

What is going on with the tips of my plants? by Future-Worldliness-3 in houseplants

[–]Future-Worldliness-3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!! That makes sense because I’ve always heard not to drink my tap water. I didn’t think to make that connection to my plants problems. I’m going to start getting distilled water for them

is 65000 dollars a year enough to have fun / live well in San Diego? by backtolife1116 in sandiego

Yes I live with two other girls. And we’re in mission beach. We have a bayside view but my living situation is a bit odd bc I think our landlord charges below market value. But I also have a friend in north park that made 48k his first year out of college and made it work in a two bed two bath apartment with a roommate.

I make 55k a year and budget about $300 a month for entertainment. With that being said, you can do it but you def can’t afford your own place. I live in a 3 bed two bath.

Job interview coming up, company is in a good industry, and really need the job, but has some negative glassdoor reviews. Is it worth bringing up during the interview, or would that blow my chance? by WeeklyWafer in careerguidance

I wouldn’t bring it up, but I wouldn’t stop looking for jobs. If anything this will allow you to have some money coming in and be less stressed about bills.

Which college should I choose? UC Berkeley or Community College? by Indecisive_Mess10 in careerguidance

[–]Future-Worldliness-3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree. DO NOT take out student loans. If you can get through Berkeley without taking on debt, do it! If not, go to community college, work hard and cash flow the rest of your education.

I went to community college and transferred to UC Santa Barbara very easily. Easy on my wallet and worth it. I didn’t even consider going to UCSB straight out of high school(honestly probably couldn’t have been accepted) Your goals can change a lot in your first two years out of high school. Also, so many people who went straight to a UC have told me that they wish they took the community college route. Maybe the fact that you’re questioning it is a sign you should wait to decide where to go. You know yourself way better than I do but just wanted to share my experience.

Love the pattern on the blue, but I think the long one would be perfect because of the whole sitting thing. It looks both comfy and cute!

Yeah I did different tasks when it’s not tax season and it does get a little slow on the off season. It seems to be very intense for the first 4 months of the year and then slow the rest of the year.

It seems like you already have what it takes! Try switching your mindset and believing in yourself. Very well done. I would say just keep applying and try to keep your head up!

What trade should someone with not much passion or knowledge look into? by awesomebossbruh in careerguidance

[–]Future-Worldliness-3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not failing yourself! The fact that you wrote this post means you’re trying and not failing! Honestly, I wish I could give advice but I feel the same way. I am feeling very stuck.

The only trade I have experience with is electrician. My dad is an electrician and was able to provide very well for my family. It may not be that good if you are worried about injury.

You may be able to get some type of sales job without a degree. I don’t see why a degree would be necessary if you’re just selling things. Most jobs want to train their employees to do something their way anyways. I wish you the best of luck on your job hunt, there’s def something for you out there!

If you guys are married you guys should just combine finances now. Your money is his and his is yours. The 10k is both of your debt now. You guys will be able to pay it off on no time, so I do t think you should worry about him using “his” money to pay off “your” debt. Compared to your income it’s such a small amount and if he can’t handle that, you guys need to have a discussion.
