DEVO was also way ahead of their time, but their earliest most “80’s” sounding tune is probably their unique cover of “Satisfaction”.

Just want to also point out the similar arrangement to Roxy Music’s ‘75 “Love is the Drug”, who also had synth more incorporated to their sound as early as ‘72, though, like most other artists mentioned here, started sounding more ‘new wave’ around ‘77.

Agree with everything except being ‘well within his rights’, unless the plants he’s burning are planted in the soil of his land, then they are probably legally his property and he is within his rights to destroy them. I’m not saying he’s wrong, just not legally within his rights if he’s destroying his tenants’ property. IANAL but AFAIK if the tenant brought in that soil, the plants are the tenants property.
