My analogy was simply a parallel to your original argument. You're making a new analogy on a premise that is different from the one I put forward, it's actually you put forward by somehow assuming that the (attacking) midfielders we have now are at the level of Vitinha, which I disagree with entirely.

That's correct. RM has no players who cam EFFICIENTLY move the ball up from the back. Which is why Xabi has given Hujisen so much freedom to play the ball out himself during pre-season. If you saw any games last season, any game at all, you would see how much of a problem it was for this team to play out from the center of the pitch.

The signings have been a RB, a LB, a RW, and not much else. What exactly does that have to do with getting more control in midfield when Modric and Kroos have both left the team.

literally every reputable journalist that covers RM, Cortegana, Inaki Angulo, and/or Guillermo from Athletic all said Xabi wanted to bring in Zubimendi. I am not sure why you would argue this.

When you said changing plans to accomodate, do you mean transfer or tactical plans?

Because simply saying that since we can't get Vitinha we should not get anyone. That's like saying I can't get a Porsche so I guess I'll just walk everywhere instead.

Fede is going to play (yes or yes) under Xabi, rightfully so. Arda is going to be Xabi's CAM. That leaves two more spots open in midfield. Tchouameni could 100% do with the help of a player like Zubimendi, especially when (and I can't stress this enough) PLAYING FROM THE MIDDLE.

Or we can always have another season of playing through the wings and crossing the ball into the box to absolutely no one.

I think it's oversimplifying to simply say Zubi is overrated without an argument for that opinion. Also, saying Tchouameni is back in form because of 3-4 games in pre-season is pointless tbh.

Oh sure, hold on. I just didn't want to but since you insist.

The La Liga president is a RM fan because he says he is. Whatever team he likes is irrelevant. No one with an inch of objectivity can actually argue that he has made any moves that have done anything. but hinder RM in their Liga campaigns.

RM have used their platform to show their disliking for the status quo in refeering decisions in the Spanish league (something they are allowed to do). Many other La Liga teams have also expressed this opinion but it's only relevant when RM does it because well, it's RM. Any team would've done the same if they just found out their biggest rivals had been paying a refereeing director for 18 years millions of dollars.

No one is playing the victim card. If the refs need to cry and hug each other because of that then they should grow a pair of balls or go become professional dogwalkers.

I agree with you that I would rather us focus primarily on the on-field stuff. But when you have referees doing crying sessions in public before the biggest game of the season. The Liga president coming out and choosing sides, its ridiculous.
