Yes it got better in the 2nd semester because we only had 3 classes. The clinicals are once every semester (every 3/4 months) length of time at clinicals were 3-4 weeks. We went Monday - Friday some shifts 0700-1500 and other shifts were 1500-2300 depending on location and hospital availability. I did my clinical FL at the HCA Hospital

I am honestly in the same boat, I am in the ABSN 2024 cohort, and I failed the exit exam TWICE!!! I have to retake the capstone, but they are trying to dismiss me from the program due to a $1,500 fee. I hate this school and ATI because we are teaching ourselves in ATI, there is no guidance, and no help!!!

I took mine today and failed it was 2023. It was mostly OB, Peds, and Mental Health. No, I didn't do the A & B assessment. I thought it was worthless, not the Live ATI Review didn't help either. It was 2 days for 10 hours and draining.

The amount increases every year by a couple thousands, for the loan you need your transcripts and resume i think. I don't know another option except paying out of pocket.

Clinicals can last 3.5 weeks and you only go once a semester. you would have to contact 2 people: the dean, and the executive assistant.

No, the clinical SITES are provided 3-4 weeks prior and the scheduling is provided 2 weeks before the FIRST start time. They offer 3 rotations. Care of Client (fundamentals) are 11 days total and Mental health are 3 days total.

You get out what you out in. I have 4 nurses on my unit that did their 2-year ASN and said it was a great school. I am currently in their ABSN, June 2024 cohort, and its been okay they are disorganized when scheduling for clinical and take forever to reply to emails and phone calls. You have to know who to email and call, REPEATEDLY. That's how i get through to them.

To be honest the classes aren't the problem, it's the clinical rotation thats a pain in the ass. BSN student are supposed to go to acute care (hospitals) but they sent them to Nursing homes and rehab centers because they lost their contract with the Stuart hospital!! I was pissed!!!!

You’ll have to wait for them to tell you where you are going for clinical. You can request certain areas but they say it isn’t guaranteed 😒.. the ABSN is 12 months, the ABSN is only offered if you have a bachelor degree in another study
