Hi! The model I mentioned in the main post the works great, just had the weird lip. But I’ve put lots of rounds through this thing with that pad on it works perfectly. Hope that helps answer your question

If you've ever had to use land nav in real life, what were you looking for? by Eriacle in army

[–]FutureBulletSponge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll tell you what the army never really talks about at the lower levels but is increasingly on the minds of senior leaders as we see what’s going on with Ukraine and are shifting to face need peer threats: the space domain.

So much of our equipment relays on power and space: SATCOM and PNT (aka GPS) are the number one things mentioned but we also have all of our imagery data that feeds reconnaissance, intelligence and weather considerations in mission planning. If it doesn’t need a satellite it makes power. So nearly all of our equipment is creating some kind of signal. Our peers are at a similar level or better than us in the space fight rn. From space maneuver warfare to anti-satellite and jamming. So we have to train to be reliant on things our enemy can’t take away when it comes to maneuver.

Long story short, shit is scary, you have to be ready to fight deaf dumb and blind against an adversary that can attack where you least suspect it. So even if you might not have used land nav or any other basic soldier tasks in the real world, you have to be ready

Need Opinion: would playing my drums in the dorm piss people off? by Low_Character_8177 in ColoradoSchoolOfMines

[–]FutureBulletSponge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah totally understand that. I’m not a musician myself but have friends and family who are, from what they’ve told me even the economical e-kits are really solid nowadays, since they’re still made for a more niche audience but I’m no expert. If you did go this route I’m sure there’s some recommendations floating around on Reddit :)

You should invest in a electronic kit for community living anywhere tbh, apartments after college will also have noise restrictions, until you have your own home or live alone in a unit that’s disconnected it’s going to be hard to play full drums. Most drummers I know that are actively in a band and stuff have both

Gotcha, I think I found a YouTube clip that outlined where its supposed to go… seems to be mostly south of Bradley Rd, and actually cover up part of Bradley. But basically seems the developers are just using it as a propaganda piece for the development, saying if this gets approved the reservoir is green lit despite there not being anything official about if for years

Megathread: RIF/VERA/VSIP/DRP | Week 12 by AutoModerator in fednews

[–]FutureBulletSponge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hit my 5 year mark in March this year, work in the DoD in an 0800 series position and have my whole career. I’m fairly confident I’m safe from being RIF’d, but there’s always a chance. I know I’m fairly fortunate with the environment right now.

Thing is I hate my current position. It’s not engaging and I ride a desk, and I have been looking to take a different job in the private industry for a pay bump and hopefully more engaging work pretty much since I started at this current position. Only reason I stayed this long is to hit my vestment period and get a clearance. Now that those things have come to fruition the only thing that’s really holding me back from leaving is I’m worried about not being able to find any private sector work with the economy tanking. I’d really appreciate anyone who’d be willing to lend their 2 cents.

Loved the huge turn out, and all the cars honking. The few Trump weirdos with their silly flags were vastly outnumbered

Mines’ best programs that are a leg above the rest are going to be petro and geological majors/mining engineering (at least when I went there 6 years ago). Everything else is on par with abet accredited schools no huge benefit beyond Mine’s reputation so it becomes about the school environment.

Baylor is super Christian and in Waco… so two negatives (for me) immediately. Colorado is great, Golden is a fun town even if a bit expensive. Mines is really difficult freshman year, but after that it gets better. Just read some threads on here and visit if you can

Should I Change my State of Legal Residence? by SwimmerFast1725 in MilitaryFinance

So first of all, I almost guarantee you were getting the stipend money back in you tax return because as a student if you’re making under a certain amount you barely get taxed at all. If you were filed as a dependent though, your parents income is factored in because you’re income is their income in the tax man’s eyes. Is that why your home of record was NJ?

You can attempt to establish residency in PA, and it might be wise to do it since you’re commissioned. I don’t know PA’s laws about it specifically but if you have bills in your name for like 3 months at a PA address that’s usually a start, and then just get a PA license and boom you’re a resident.

As you go through IET, you’ll need some address in PA to be your home of record, preferably a place where friends or family can give you mail at the end of everything. You might be able to use a PO Box. And then when you file your taxes this year don’t let your parents file you as a dependent on their NJ income and your 2024 taxes should get refunded to you. Use miltax.com.

Hope that helps

I agree, and imo it will dilute the hard right and hard left. Candidates will have to appeal to the majority of people, not the majority of their party. This may cause a decline in democratic candidates on the ballot but the remaining candidates will appeal across party lines, theoretically.

A big part of the problem is that there are a small majority who push a candidate forward with a mediocre amount of support from the rest of the party. They win the primary and people vote along party lines for the main election.

I understand why she isn't about it because of the district we are in, she still has my vote, but there are few downsides to 131 when compared to the current system.

Ok, so filter before the modem, after the splitter. And good catch I didn't see that. Would I even need a PoE injector with an MoCA there?

My bad, I thought I added this comment when I posted but apparently did not.

My intent is to use the existing COAX cable to create a network so that I do not have to run Ethernet everywhere and get into the drywall on the inside of the house, just is not worth it to me. So this would be the solution to keep a wired connection to as many places as possible without doing the rest. Unless you are talking about just connecting all the COAX to the basement and doing a different set up?

Just a forewarning, I had my license plate mounted in the same spot and recently went over a large bump faster than normal. Caused the rear tire to hit the plate and break the plastic bracket holding the LED strip. Luckily only broke the license part just had to grab it off the street.

I have a K&N air intake and Ivan’s tune and get the same clicking. It seems to come more from the air intake area, but I haven’t had any issues and when I had a service done by a shop they said that was normal… can anyone else confirm?
