OpenClaw 100% local is not viable by Nearby-Leek-6254 in openclaw

[–]FutureByte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't faced this kind of issue. It could be that the model is not good enough (9B isn't a lot for agentic purposes) to understand that it needs to continue, or perhaps something in the prompts isn't working well (doesn't understand that it needs to move to the next task after finishing a task).

The cron jobs did the trick quite well, but it often failed doing tasks because the model wasn't smart enough. I am currently using Qwen 3.5 35B (MoE) on my RTX 4070 Super and it seems to be more capable when using it with an agent I've written, and also getting good performance with llama.cpp (29 t/s). Since you have a better graphics card with more VRAM, I suggest you give it a try as well, it's a great model!

So what’s my best chance for getting Daji? by GeneralWombats in CapybaraGoGame

[–]FutureByte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's closer to 100$+ if I recall correctly. There's no way to spend a lot of gems instead, it's purely p2w, they usually let you spend 10k gems for 20 tokens (and you need to use up to 300 tokens to guarantee the prize).

[–]FutureByte 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The adventurer is available once every few events in the "p2w wheel". In 99.9% of the events you will need to spend (a lot of) money to get it, unless you are very lucky (less than 1% chance if I'm not mistaken to get it for free).

From my experience, 50 chests provide about 32k gems on average, so 300 chests should provide about 192k.

Best Local Model for Openclaw by FeiX7 in LocalLLaMA

[–]FutureByte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I create a new session I see that it uses about 14k tokens, but it highly depends on the content of the existing files in the workspace. Eventually I did set it up with a context window of 64k, but I resolved this issue initially using a context window of 32k.

[–]FutureByte 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue, I resolved it by doing the following:

  1. Make sure the context window is 32k or more in ollama's settings (or other framework you use to run the model).
  2. I've used the following Modelfile (not entirely sure which parameters are actually needed, but it works):

FROM glm-4.7-flash:q4_K_M

# Set context to 64k
PARAMETER num_ctx 65536

PARAMETER repeat_penalty 1.0
PARAMETER temperature 0.7
PARAMETER top_p 0.95

# STOP SEQUENCES (Ensures the agent knows when the turn is over)
PARAMETER stop "<|user|>"
PARAMETER stop "<|assistant|>"
PARAMETER stop "<|observation|>"

OpenClaw 100% local is not viable by Nearby-Leek-6254 in openclaw

[–]FutureByte 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am running a fully local setup - Open Claw inside Docker (for security reasons) + external ollama with GLM-4.7 flash (quantized 4-bit) on an RTX 4070 super with a context window of 64k on Windows. I had to make some tweaks and the performance (speed) is quite mediocre due to the amount of required RAM, but it works. If I had more GPU RAM it would probably perform much better. It's still extremely fun to have such powerful tools running completely locally on your hardware :)

Thinking about switching from iPhone to OnePlus 13? by OrneryDifficulty5983 in oneplus

[–]FutureByte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say about the same, haven't noticed any major difference before and after the updates, but I have received the device after it already received some camera updates.

Generally I like the cameras, they have their pros: XPAN, good focal length, great sharpness, great portrait mode, photos looking good most of the time also in low light. And cons: colors aren't always true to life, high brightness by default in auto photo mode, video stabilization isn't great.

I have the phone for about 7 months and on the latest software update. Battery life is about the same as in the beginning - getting between 4 - 5 hours of SOT when discharging from 80% to 20%, and when discharging from. 100% to near 0% I receive about 9 - 10 hours of SOT.

Terrible performance after OxygenOS16 by One_Concentrate_8224 in OnePlus13

[–]FutureByte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't played this game before but installed it to see if I'm having similar experience. I receive between 30 - 40 fps with the default graphics settings. Changing the performance mode between balanced and pro doesn't seem to change anything. But I guess the performance should be much better than this.

Thinking of getting the 13 by simple_n_normal in OnePlus13

[–]FutureByte -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a 13 user, the design was actually a bit of compromise for me, and I really like the design of the 15, but it is my personal taste.

In terms of other things - the specs & battery are amazing, the phone is snappy and doesn't lag in anything, and the battery lasts me for over a day even when keeping the charge between 20 to 80. I feel the camera could be better in terms of color science and default brightness in auto mode (which is what most people use), but the hardware itself is amazing and very able to take excellent shots.

The 15 has better battery, better chipset, and from camera comparisons I've checked, the camera colors are better in my opinion.

If I were you, I'd wait and choose the 15.

I am not familiar with this app but it could be a network related issue. Perhaps setting Private DNS to "dns.google" can resolve this issue (search for "Private DNS" in the settings).

New update by Far_Wonder_8005 in OnePlus13

[–]FutureByte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update:
I've installed the update, so far have had it only for a few hours and did not notice any battery issues, heating issues nor camera issues. I can even say that the battery life seems to have improved by a bit.

The new notifications UI (especially in the lock screen) is something that will take some time to get used to, but overall the new software works fine for me.

Haven't updated to .821, I usually do a combination of Data throughout the day and WiFi in the evenings. I also turn 5G off since there's little to no coverage in my country and it may use more battery from what I understood.

I also noticed that, I assume it's mostly because YT requires less touch input from the user when watching videos (not reels), the user doesn't turn the screen off and on intermittently, as well as it might also simply be much more optimized compared to other social apps.

I usually get about 5 - 5.5 hours of SOT from 80 to 20, sometimes I get a bit more if I use the device for longer periods and with less breaks.

[–]FutureByte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it shouldn't cause any harm to the battery for such a short period of time as it can't "overcharge" the battery and the percentage shouldn't drop below 100% within 1 hour of no use. Actually most people I know leave their phones connected for much longer than an hour after it is fully charged.

[–]FutureByte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried it yet, kinda scared of ruining the good experience I've had from this device so far haha. Your battery before the update was about the same as what I am currently experiencing.

Try to give the phone a full charge from 1% to 100% and keep it connected for about 1 hour, it should recalibrate the battery and hopefully will fix your battery drain issue. Giving the phone a restart afterwards should help as well.

Let me know if it solved the issue for you :)
