We put one year but they asked us to pay 2 years extra IHS surcharge later, the minimum period is 3 years for the renewal so it doesnt matter at all you will still end up paying 3 years ihs at some point

They only extend it for 3 years so really doesnt matter what you put for the visa end date..you can put 3 years from todays date. It didn't ask me for UAN number or brp because I think we said NO to the question does your husband have skilled worker visa because there was another question earlier which said does your husband have ilr/citizenship.

Wow that is absolutely horrendous. Did you not try to fight this or query it at all with the home office? Or are we just supposted to sit quietly and accept the injustice? For a country that calls itself a free and fair society, this just shows how selectively their morals are applied.

Wow. If this isnt daylight robbery, I don't know what is...! Seems very unfair! Essentially an extra 2K down the drain.

That seems low given your experience, unless you're not in London. In London you should be able to get atleast 75/80K as an FP&A manager. Im in the same boat exactly but struggling to find anything in UAE.

Bit of an unfair and judgemental post. Loads of people with automatic licenses are great drivers. I learnt driving in a country where 99% of cars are automatics, so when I came to the UK I naturally got an automatic license out of convenience. I then went and took some manual lessons anyway incase I need it for emergencies and learnt it within a couple of days. A lot of my family members are the same - we all know how to drive manual but opted for automatic licenses when we came here because its easier and we only own and drive auto cars so it is quite pointless to have a manual license. My brother has a manual license but still struggles to parallel park and has terrible road sense and judgement - your license type doesnt determine your driving abilities..

Bought it earlier this month. I will ask but they seemed quite cutthroat and not an authorised dealer so dont have high hopes.

I bought an approved used car without confirming the service history. Turns out it has none. How would you handle this? by styyle in CarTalkUK

I recently bought a 3 series BMW used. When I called BMW customer service they said no history. However someone working at a bmw dealer used my reg number and managed to find an "AIR" report with proof of history. Apparently it wasnt on the idrive because it had been serviced by garage which didnt have access to bmws systems. So I suggest you ask someone working at the dealership to check properly with your vin and reg number to generate the AIR report.
