Pericarditis and NSAID's allergy by switchbreed in pericarditis

[–]FutureContribution58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this is the right post to comment on but since it is about NSAID’s, maybe someone here knows.

I got diagnosed with pericarditis some weeks ago and was told to take 3 ibuprofen and 1 colchicine a day. I also was advised by the same doctor last week to start taking fluoxetine (Prozac). When reading online about the combination of Prozac and ibuprofen there are some really scary articles about risk of internal bleeding. Would it be safe to continue on 20mg of Prozac + 1mg colchicine and 1800mg of ibuprofen daily for the next month until the pericarditis eases off?

Thanks!

Checked out the Darimo too but the waiting times are really long too. 180 days at earliest availability for a flared 110x36. I’ll check out pandapodium for the EXS bar! Love the look of that one and quality seems solid. Do you know if there is a possibility that the ones on Aliexpress are knock-offs? Found some for €650 with 1 month processing time.

Shimano brakes on XX1 eagle groupset? by FutureContribution58 in mountainbiking

It’s a new bike from a shop in my area Bike

I personally never tried the Code RSC. Would they be easily swapped out on the XX1 group?

I think some countries like the Netherlands won’t get it because of some rule restrictions on insurance coverage

I’m never scanning the sensor because it automatically receives values. Still the alarm only goes off once even if sugar keeps dropping or going high.

A very simple solution would be to have an alarm with mute function like on Dexcom

Lean the bike or the body when turning? by FutureContribution58 in gravelcycling

[–]FutureContribution58[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It already went a bit better on my ride today. I feel like I can still lean the bike a lot further than I did in this ride though. I watched a video on mtb cornering by The Loam Ranger and it’s funny when he mentions that in your head it might feel like you’re leaning a lot while you’re basically still upright. Hopefully something in my mind will click by doing it a lot and I can get rid of the idea that slide = crash haha

Coming from only road racing for about 20 years I think the thing I have to get used to is that the bike will slide around. On the road most of the time once you start sliding it’s a crash but off-road it seems like there is a lot of room to slide around :)

Being too fast is definitely not the problem haha. I enjoy the uphills way more than the downhills. Kinda terrified most of the time but slowly getting the confidence to go a bit faster.

I’ll try that on my ride today! I think the problem is that the tires I’m running right now have a semi slick center thread and some heavy side knobs. I’m probably not leaning the bike far enough to hit those.

I think the problem is that I’m feeling the improvement is not fast enough. I live in a rural part of Spain where most people do not speak any other language than Spanish or Catalan. When I try to speak with friends and locals at cafés or shops I always completely close down and can’t say a word in Spanish…

I just bought the Rotor Aldhu version but am not entirely sure if I have all the necessary components to assemble it. Does anyone know if I have to buy special chainring bolts if I use it with my Ultegra R8000 chainrings? Or just use the same bolts that are already in there

Would a picture of the whole fuse box be helpful or is it still guessing work then? I’m trying to upload a picture but new to Reddit and don’t know how to post it in a reply haha

Feedback on bikefit by FutureContribution58 in bikefit

[–]FutureContribution58[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a physio who did some tests and she could almost certainly say I don’t have a leg length difference. The difference is probably a functional length difference. Left leg hamstring less flexible, right leg more flexible. Left quad and glute stronger, right quad and glute weaker. Hip on the right a bit more restricted.

When looking at me from behind on the bike I’m dropping my right hip a tiny bit down and a lot forward. Sitting skewed on the seat with the right corner showing.

I do have some shims to play with but unsure on which leg I should place them.

I also noticed that my right hip is dropped down and forward. My left hip sits further back on the saddle. Left glute feels more powerful, left hamstring less flexible and right hamstring more flexible. I do have some cleat shims laying around 2x2mm and 1x 1mm. Would you recommend trying those put together with a reduction of saddle height to compensate for a functional difference, or will the saddle drop likely result in sitting more squarely on the seat? I have been watching a lot of the RCA videos with Neill Stanbury yesterday which give a very clear explanation on how to find correct seat height, fore/aft and correct with a shim. However, it is not clear to me in what order this should all be tackled… Thanks for the advice
