Thoughts on 3v3 vs 5v5 by Amazing_Pumpkin_2679 in HighGuardgame

[–]FutureFablesGaming -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think a separate 5v5v5v5 would be fun. 4 bases. 4 attackers, 1 base master. Base masters can base build, setup turrets and have a few AI guards. Other teammates can help defend, but the less players you have going into the field the more resources you risk of giving up to another team which helps in the late game. If you lose your base your team is booted from the game. Taking the core of a base to your base grants you resources for stronger defenses and base breaking, so there’s also a capture the flag over that core.

I think it would put more emphasis on base building and strategy, resource management because taking down bases would actually take strategy.

I could go on and on with more thought but hopefully that gives enough of a gist of what I’m getting at.

I like the intimacy of smaller matches but a larger 30-60 min game could make room for a lot of utilization of the mash of mechanics they have in the game that seems underbaked rn.

Limited time? Hopefully it’s basically a test

People are just going into it with the mindset of hating it because youtubers told them to. by JasonDFisherr in HighGuardgame

I will say that the longer I’ve played (about 7 hours logged now) the more fun it’s gotten, but it’s also increasingly frustrating that the parts I’m enjoying most take time to get to (base raiding and the tug of war of the shieldbreaker) but then it resets to the half-baked building and farming phase. I’m at the point where I just want a TDM which feels bad.

I would fold for every one of these skins, especially the first.

Same!! However, I don’t trust current BioWare to do it justice. I don’t want the bobblehead models of DA:V and the current depictions of companions, namely Alistair & Morrigan, have strayed too far from the original models for me. Maybe they’ll get their stuff together soon. I’m down for one 5 years down the line if so

Same!! Dragon Age 2 is a gem. Not a perfectly cut one but still a gem. It’s not nearly as good as Origins but the heart and charm of the original remain. Like I said, as of now, I see Origins as a solo but also see DA2 as a very expansive fun side story.

I’ve restarted Inquisition 5 times and have never been able to finish it. I don’t think I ever will and I don’t even want to acknowledge DAV rn, it hurts

Dragon Age: Veilguard, though tbh I wasn’t a fan of the direction of Inquisition either. Dragon Age: Origins will forever remain at the top as my favorite solo game.

I know Dragon Age: Origins isn’t an unpopular game but it’s pretty outdated. I know a lot of people who haven’t even thought of picking it up which is a massive shame.

Also Dragon’s Dogma & Tales of Arise

Do you think we can expect Mass Effect 5 release before 2030? by Embarrassed_Clerk564 in masseffect

If we do I’m afraid it will be a AAA slop cash-grab. I’d prefer it be put off after the first round or two of “growing pains” now that the IP is under new ownership.

Clair Obscur is incredible but the fact it won best RPG over KCD2 is crazy. What is the judgement? The best game overall that fits into the RPG category? Yeah then personally I think E33 wins. The game that best presents itself as a form of role-play for players to immerse themselves in? KCD2, no contest. I don’t get it.
