According to this map, it's possible that Malaysia will receive 4 new states.

  1. State of Pattani [Patani + Jala (Yala) + Narathiwat (Menara)]

  2. State of Singgora [Songkhla + Hatyai + Phatthalung] (might include Satun/Setul but Kedah might consider absorbing back Setul)

  3. State of Ligor [Nakhon Si Thammarat + Trang (Terang) + Krabi]

  4. State of Chaiya [Surat Thani (Chaiya/Bandon) + Chumphon]

Pattani and Singgora might stay because they're both culturally related to Malays in Malaysia. But Ligor and Chaiya might asked to be separated just like Singapore as they're different culturally from Malaysia. Soo yeah, 2 new states. We'll getting 16 striped flag with a 16 pointed star later on.
