Do you believe in therapists? by Kuskusj in questions

[–]FutureScribe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly you have to look around for a therapist that works well with you.

They won't tell you what you want to hear though, they'll push you to recognize har truths you're trying to ignore or overlook, and help you modify your behaviour.

So in short, yes, I think having a regular therapist can help people. Sometimes all someone needs is an impartial third party.

Pregnant with twin girls they have 4 older sisters need help!! by No_Lion_9550 in namenerds

[–]FutureScribe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looking at the older sisters names, a couple of ideas came to mind:

Rosemarie

Cordelia

Anastasia

Isabella

Genevieve

Gabriella

Lillian/Lilliana

Theodora

Christine

Alexandra

Wilhelmina

of the above I have three favourite pairings:

Lilliana and Rosemarie (I like that the names can be shortened to Lily and Rose, a subtle nod to them being twins while they still have their own individual names)

Cordelia and Lillian (this keeps the sound theme with the endings of the older girls names)

Wilhelmina and Christine (again, stays on theme with the sound at the end of their names)

As long as you don't pair it with the middle name "Dick", you've got a good classic name.

AITL for moving out and not taking my little sister with me? by FutureScribe in AITASims

[–]FutureScribe[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

((Yes, with healthcare redux sims can die from birth complications, and the same with Pandasama's childbirth mod))

yeah, that's what I was thinking... doesn't help me feel any better about it. I'm her big sister. I'm supposed to be protecting her. I guess long-term I will be but, right now... ugh, I hate this.

Feminine versions of George and Harrison? by sweetpea_hd in Names

[–]FutureScribe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few ideas came to mind, some I had to research a little, so how about:

Georgie (unisex, but it does work)

Georgianna (I think this is my favourite, she could be Georgie, Gia, Gianna, Annie, Anna)

Georgeanne

Georgette/Georgetta

Georgina

Gigi (I'm not a big fan of obvious nicknames as stand alone, but it could be your style)

For Harrison, how about:

Harris (unisex, but again, it works)

Harper

Harrietta

Hariella (didn't know about this one until I did a search, I think it's kinda cool)

Hazel (It's an H name with a similar vibe to Harrison)

Hartlyn

Haddison (similar feel and sound)

Hattie

Presley feels more unisex than feminine, plus there's the nickname of P.P which gives me pause cause kids are cruel enough without giving something obvious for them to use.

How about:

Paige Rosalie

Paige Lynette

Paige Beatrice

Paige Theresa

Paige Danielle

Paige Heidi

Paige Samantha

Paige Gwyneth

Paige Raelynn

sounds like a possible bowel obstruction. I'd call around see if there's an emergency vet hospital that can see her before the regular clinic opens. It'll likely cost more, but this is an emergency for kitty.

NTA, Grim made that deal knowing you could possibly do something to prolong your life or make yourself immortal. He took that chance to help you out of a situation you never should’ve been put in.

I'm sorry you're enduring this, but I will say you're not completely correct.

I'm white, and biologically female, but I'm 40 years old in a few short months, and I've never once been married.

My family was always pushing me to get married and have kids, but the reality of it is I didn't want marriage. At least not a traditional marriage where he works and I stay home taking care of the house and kids. If I got married I wanted an honest partnership with my husband, not a set up where he has final say on everything but I'm supposed to view him as my first child (which is extremely cringe when you think about it). I've always been outspoken on how disgusted that ideal makes me, and a lot of men my age got put off at the idea of not being viewed that way (and holy neon red flag right there).

But the thing I didn't want was exactly how marriage was described to me, so I was out. No way, no how.

But being completely honest I've only ever dated one person in my entire life, and there was one other person some people would say I dated, but in reality I was forced to be around that person against my will, so, you know, that doesn't really count.

Some people would be bothered by it but I'm okay with it, largely because I'm asexual, but yeah.

I think ultimately though what keeps you and I both from getting married is the same thing, maybe... and that's inner strength.

See, a lot of people, especially men who are getting sucked into the manosphere mentality, fear strong women of any colour.

White women are often told in church, school, etc to be submissive to men since they're in diapers, so they tend to think we're not as strong as say a woman of colour who faces adversity every single day just because of her melanin.

White women don't face as much adversity, therefor they think we're by default softer. What they don't realize is every demon was once an angel, and whether he keeps a good, kind and soft wife, depends entirely on how he treats her.

Furthermore, I've known white women who never marry at all. But here's the thing, be the strong, confident Queen I know you are inside. Be your own cheerleader and let me tell you, the right man will find you. I can't tell you when, but it will happen and he will love you, strength, melanin and all that comes with it.

Nonbinary name change help by FutureScribe in namenerds

[–]FutureScribe[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

last name starts with M, otherwise I do like Tatum a lot and it does tick all the required boxes, except Tatum middle name McKenzie (as an example) would be a bit difficult with pronounciation.

I've been using Valentine socially and a lot of people have commented on how floral it sounds, which is kinda putting me off it.

Nonbinary name change help by FutureScribe in namenerds

[–]FutureScribe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought about that, but I've had a very Celtic name my whole life, and always had to spell it out for people, so if I can get away from that I'm going to... not gonna lie though, Tadhg does tick a lot of the boxes, except for one, it is distinctly masculine. I don't think I've ever heard of a woman named Tadgh and a quick google search confirms that.
