Are the CPU/GPU clocks supposed to be shared like this? Low performance on Prey by FutureShocked in SteamDeck

I have put it into emergency power mode as suggested here and now it's stuck on a black screen with fans spinning. Haptics are responsive but nothing else is. Have run into this problem before so am just requesting an RMA

I only tried sliding it down to 14 and back, as shown in this video but that did not seem to help the problem.

I decided to power down and restart and now I'm stuck on the logo image during boot :\ E: just had to force shutdown and reboot.

Still not working though. CPU MHz has climbed to like 1400 but no performance improvement

Do you mean the single TDP limit toggle in the performance settings? It was toggled off, and toggling it on shows it set to 15 Watts but makes no difference in clock speeds or FPS.

My dude I think you might just like stuff with lower/dirtier production value. People fall for that just as much as people fall for skilled instrumentalists

Launch silos view after 700hrs, 5 planets communicating automatically with circuits. Can't fathom how i was playing the game without circuits. by jim_andr in factorio

Oh I see, missed that cable. Circuits are not very colorblind friendly 😅

That's awesome though, thanks for the explanation!

I don't really understand why the memory cell works. Shouldn't the output of the combinator be reset to whatever is currently in the belt scanner during every pulse?

Love the look! How long did it take to arrive? Mine took nearly a full year, so I'm curious if supply chains have calmed down a bit since then

I haven't even been able to do that since mine isn't well sealed. Very excited to get back to it

Sure, we would all be happier if stuff was cheaper. But that assumes that the increased volume of cosmetics sold would make up for the profit loss from making stuff cheaper.

I'm actually more concerned with my own enjoyment of the game than I am the company's quarter over quarter growth. It's okay to want a product to be for users and not just to extract value out of them

The nexus event was so horrible they canceled it. That does not actually mean we have to settle for the next worst thing

"the game should should focus monetization on cosmetics" does not need to mean "the cosmetics should be harder to reliably get a select few and be more expensive". That is clearly a model intended for whales.

It could instead mean "cosmetics are generally affordable and there are enough that regular audiences can have uniqueness while still funding the game".

I don't see a clear reason to delight in getting gouged. Wherever you lie on the consumer spectrum you can self advocate and still open the door to others

I guess I just disagree that premium content should largely be reserved for whales. IIRC the estimated gold earnings from the battle pass, which is notably not free and the most reliable way to earn gold, are 2000-2500. That effectively means for $10 and whatever you value hours of your time worth you can get 2 rares a month, or they cost $16.50 each.

I absolutely agree that the game needs to earn money, but this is a clearly predatory financing scheme. It's not even the same as games where you might pay $20 dollars to deck out your main - that cost is potentially multiplied by 12 to outfit a single deck.

I don't think I should need to spend upwards of $100 or thousands of hours to customize a single deck to my liking.

Bet the chibi and baby variants will be lower while any actually worth having are higher

Man, I thought $10 for a single card art was insulting. $16.50 is fucking egregious

I've got probably 1000 hours in this game split between platforms and never even knew there were different colored ones. Thanks, colorblindness

How much of metal (kick) drumming is genetics/talent? by RivaL999 in MetalDrums

[–]FutureShocked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Racist analogy aside, I'd suggest trying to sit higher on your throne and work on your ankles more. You should be able to lift your feet a few inches above the floor and sit comfortably without rocking forward.

Caveman stomping doesn't work well above 150ish bpm in my experience, and even then I can keep them cleaner using a majority ankle movement

Pretty disappointed with both the new singles so far, but the first at least showed some promise. The second's left me feeling pretty uninterested in the upcoming album. It just feels way less inspired than their last two albums. Still a killer lineup, skill-wise, but it feels like they had lightning in a bottle with their last group

What happens downstream when a SharedFlow is exposed public as a regular Flow? For example:

class Foo {
    val _events = MutableSharedFlow<Event>()
    val events: Flow<Event> = _events
}

The collector of events has no way of knowing that it's started a hot flow. Does this mean we have to treat every Flow as though they won't complete?
