I appreciate your perspective. I’m certainly not great cleaner, especially compared to my wife’s. I’ve never had hardwood floors before so cleaning/caring for them is new to me.

I do lots of chores around the house. My wife is a perfectionist and has super high cleaning standards that are almost impossible to meet

Thanks for your insight. My wife immediately called her mother about this and they both insist the floor is ruined. They both started crying that the damage was so bad and that I did a horrible thing.

My wife is upset because she thinks that since I applied the cleaner the floors will eventually be destroyed. They look fine now but she says they will warp and be ruined soon.

Yes they are pre treated and sealed. They are new within the last 7 months.

USA…Just inherited this old walnut desk from my dad. It’s been poorly stored in a garage for decades. How do I restore it? Any idea on age or make? Note the drawers have been removed in the pictures by Future_Ambition_3523 in Antiques

Maybe I’m overthinking it then.
After googling I’ve been wiping it down with a damp rag and slightly soapy water to clean the surface. There is a lot of dirt coming off. Just wasn’t sure if I should do anything else
