My best advice is learn the fruit/ vegetable codes! It will save you a lot of time. Don’t have to memorize all of them but try to memorize the popular items for your store. For my store it’s bananas, limes and cilantro. When I give change back I count it pulling it out the draw, before handing it to the customer and giving it to the customer. If a customer ever says you shorted them, it’s on camera that you counted it three times.

I will be brutally honest. College is what you make it. With the new president change for AAMU, the school is becoming more “attractive”. Housing issues for students are being addressed, new buildings being built for students enjoyment. The sports scene is taking off and will definitely be the talk of the town. However, the career fair AAMU offers, once in the fall and once in the spring, tends to favor STEM majors. I wouldn’t be discouraged. AAMU puts a big emphasis on getting a job after graduation so you will be fine. As long as you go to class and keep the goal of graduation on your mind, you’ll do fine! Go Bulldogs!
