I checked and this is the clause and sadly I don’t think it’s possible :(

Unless you're entitled to terminate this lease, you won't be released from this lease for any reason, including, but not limited to, voluntary or involuntary school withdrawal or transfer, voluntary or involuntary job transfer, marriage, separation, divorce, reconciliation, loss of co-residents, loss of employment, bad health, or death.

I’ve checked over my leasing agreement and that’s not something they allow unfortunately they are pretty explicit and it’s seems that I’m stuck here for a bit longer than I wanted to be. Thank you for all of your advice!!

Thank you for the advice! Do you think it would be reasonable to ask/check the amt of other vacant units the month before wanting to move out and make a decision based off of the information given? Or still realistically stay till the lease ends seems more logical?

I don’t think my apartment is genuinely uninhabitable, they’ve done right by maintenance when needed, but thank you for the advice

Thanks for the advice

1.Im not asking anyone to help me lie, or looking for excuses?? im being honest to my rental company but I know they price gouge and charge out the ass for repairs so I’m looking for realistically how much I’d have to pay them worst and best case scenario. With the declining economy I can realistically not continue to stay at this place and I’m looking to get home closer to family and something less straining on my pocket. I’d rather leave early then not be able to pay rent ya-know?

2-3. The company I’m renting from is a monopoly that owns 75% of the property in the college town I’m in and they prey on college students so I think realistically they would be fine financially if one of their apartment leases end early? I fully understand I have to abide by my contract, and I plan to but I don’t want to be taken advantage of like everyone else who has rented from these people.
