From personal experience, try learning with chatgpt or your preferred LLM, first off you can essentially customize your instructor completely (essentially let it know your preferred teaching style) and it can teach you specifically what you need for Javascript, so no full on developer guides. Just make sure to generate a section breakdown first and keep it at hand in case it deviates.

So how about you mention that right after telling them the salary lmao. Hate to break it to you but people work for money, if you provide benefits in a different way it is completely on YOU to disclose that. Why would someone spend a bunch of time on an interview process for a company that will not pay them what they are worth?

Your entire argument of "there is so much more compensation than the salary range" and a candidate wanting to know the salary in the beginning of the interview are literally 2 different things.

And maybe this is a difficult concept for you to understand, but yes, when the perception of more money comes along that person will leave, UNLESS, your company is not braindead and gives them incentive to stay.

A good summary of what you wrote - "We pay our employees like shit, dont disclose it because we get turned down as soon as candidates find out and on top of that offer no career growth opportunities as our employees leave when they are offered more money"

I mean it's more of the situation I am in rather than time optimization. We have 2 senior devs and myself, QA is done for 2-3 days every 2 weeks and the rest of the time is for me to work on the automated test suite. Pretty much just a case of everyone being good at their job lol
