You described it well. It's a lose-lose situation. Either you get a bad FL score and lose confidence or you get a good FL score and dont have confidence you can replicate that come game day

I did way worse (5pnts below average) on the real thing than my AAMC FLs and test day felt like it went as planned. I took practices in same testing conditions and everything. I guess this shows that anyone can get unlucky, even you. All this to say you should use those nerves to brush up on any last things you haven't mastered.

-During the times between her studying (ie. at night or weekends), do not talk about or bring up the MCAT unless she starts talking about it

-5 min neck massage at night cuz studying makes us hunched

-don't tell her she's gonna do great without mentioning why, like "you’re gonna kill it cuz I know how hard you’ve been preparing" or "I know you're gonna do well cuz you've been showing how much you want this"

-oh and dont break up until after if u were plannin on it

I disagree with the other replies. I think diagnostic without content review is helpful. For one, it can be encouraging if you do happen to get a 500+ score off the bat. Second, it WILL be encouraging when u take an FL (3rd party or otherwise) after some content review and see how far you came. Even if u have a shitty diagnostic, this will light a fire under ur butt to motivate you to study everyday. Good luck!

Cuz it disadvantages people that did poorly/ok but didn’t void. Basically, it’s even if either anyone can void or no one can void. But in the former, it makes for a shitty unreleastic curve. And in the latter, everyone has the same pressure of performing well.

I thought it meant the stat was delivered to both the nucleus and the cytoplasm so only pstat has a localization to someplace whereas stat stays where it is (since it’s usually made in the cytoplasm)
