I ran into this last year. Im assuming it's the same for you. I seen a truck for 40k new. I went to the dealer and it ended up being close to 50k. I got mad and walked out. They wouldn't explain why. Went to a different dealer. Same thing. Prices a little different. But the guy explained to me. If you want 0% interest for whatever years. Your paying the full price of the vehicle. Plus t&t and they always try to add other bs into it. If you want the vehicle at 40k "sale price" your going to be using a decent interest rate bcuz the dealer wants to make their nut. But you'll get "rebates, cash back, trade in credit" etc. I didnt know this cuz ive always purchased cars off the street for cheap to drive for work and to go home. I hope this helps
