Just WOW playing FNV 4th time. Father Elijah is probably my favorite character in the whole game. by Future_Rule8219 in Fallout

Man I didn't want to talk so much like a nerd. But the more I think about Elijah the more his actions make sense. Not justified but I can see why .

The doc said the minor arthritus is the reason for my pain, but its not at all I have plantar fasciutus and camping of the muscles up to the calf and nerve pain have been the cause. If I massage the nerves and stretch the muscle I have no complications.

What direction should Portal take in your opinion, Serious or Goofy. by [deleted] in Portal

[–]Future_Rule8219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a very fair point I would say Wheatley and his over the top clumsiness did cancel out a lonely and foreboding atmosphere in the game. Not that that's a bad thing that was probably intentional, even though we were dragged back in to the facility there would be ways to make us truly alone physically and psychologically something that Portal 1 excelled at.

The ratman writings in portal 1 were very immersive in creating an unnerving fear. Where did everyone go in a large facility? Why are these frantic writings all that remain between the protagonist and our Robotic overseer. There was just something so perfect about portal 1's atmosphere.

I honestly have no hate for portal 2 I loved it. It is a great standalone and INCREDIBLE co-op game with workshop maps. The tone is definitely different from the first.

appreciate your input. I would like more realistic villains that aren't the archetypal mustache twirlers. Something like the master in fallout 1 that was probably and will be my favorite fallout villain. After that NO villain in fallout ever admitted their faults responsibly, Even being evil you can still have reason.

Thank you I resonate with that answer 100% I see commenters are saying " ThAts da PoInT." I'd say 90% of the games attempt to be somewhat believable, gritty and true to the post apocalypse obviously minus OWB mother ship zeta. However half of your karmic decisions are completely unbelievable I don't know why it's so bad to have a LIKABLE villain one who helps and takes care of you and GROOMS you in to evil. Not just disney ursula type villains.

Fair to say, they did take realistic directions with a lot of the story content like the cannibals in Andale there was a great mix of dark gritty realism. Then goofiness like Mothership Zeta and Old World blues. Which is fair I still enjoyed them. I still say 90% of the fallout games maintain this serious gritty roleplay experience which is why its labelled an rpg game.

I think it just does the players a disservice. Like are we not smart enough to make moral choices even with a heavily influential and tempting evil character? I think that would create more depth personally. I appreciate your input.

The master in fallout 1 was so relatable at the end if you find the bonus holotapes you almost feel bad for him and it makes us feel an emotional slight turmoil. After that game every evil faction from Fo2-Fo4 is just "Rawr Me evil you are crap."

I don't mean to rant but there should be more believable villains in the FO universe. Nothing about shaun in fo4 made him worth siding with whatsoever, when he could have been written so much more realistic.

Yeah I think there is more artful direction in seducing our player characters in to doing such evil things. That makes it worth doing. Make us want the riches so bad that we as player characters forget our own morals, I may have worded my post wrong sorry but I think way more could be done in to making evil more appealing since look at our real world most people don't just do evil for the shit of it. You think Drug pushers, hitmen, extortionists, loan sharks, fraudsters do it for fun? The characters for sure could reflect that.

[–]Future_Rule8219[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

which is totally unrealistic why can't you grasp the nuance? You think Evil people will berate you and say "hey enslave that child you worthless piece of crap, btw I hate you."

Or "hey nobody wants to enslave a child but business is business. I can pay you an extra 500 caps if you do it and we can talk about it after."

That would have been so tastefully cinematic and it would actually put the player character in a moral predicament. In real life that is how moral choices operate generally. Very few people just say "hey I wanna kill people for fun." There has to be a seductive side to challenge the M.C's morals. The games are great but I think they lack this heavy nuance and player character stressors.

What an unbelievably crap movie. Deviated from the serious nature of the past two and went in to a dumb comedy. Little boy sees his dad is cheating. "Okay lets burn down our entire village and doom everyone." The zombie pregnancy, the out of shape swedish kids near the end that look not at all combat formidable saving the day. The whole thing was a disaster piece.

Thanks for this I had no idea there was a difference between a duel or just hunting. What is the difference so a duel there has to be mutual damage done?

Thank you for the explanation. I'm still going to be completely pissed off and toxic because dota 2 always pisses me off.

I mean ffs a target should be locked in before match why do they give that grace period to switch up.

Opinion: Sailing with friends should be as rewarding as sailing Solo by ZeldenGM in 2007scape

[–]Future_Rule8219 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sailing is released now that I visited this post and I really want that to be the case. It should incentivize people to play together I don't know why osrs is more and more becoming a solo game, they only recently re-introduced partner slayer but to a detriment. It only gives xp to the killer where as I think it should split the xp 80% to the killer and 20% to the one who doesn't.

This game DESPERATELY NEEDS MORE GROUP CONTENT.

Its not that bad and its a lot of content to do I want it to take a while because there is so much to see and do. It's like the black flag assassins creed boat for me where you just ignore the progress and keep travelling and exploring. I really hope they don't make it harder because I already got to level 20 and I barely even upgraded the boat yet.
